You can get gluttony by eating like 10 hamburgers at McDonald's, even after they warn you to stop. Gluttony is one of the easiest and most obvious of the sins. Now how do you get wrath? That's the only one I can't seem to figure out. :-S
Good game, but it needs more reloads of normal bullets. I run out too quickly and the other weapons have a lot of killing power but are tough to aim from far away.
There is definitely too much luck involved. I have done exactly the same things as the guys in the videos have done (sometimes even moving faster at an earlier time period in the game), but something always goes wrong - either there are zero starslides available for me to hit all the way up to Mars when I jump out of the water after 20 nice entries with more than a minute left to play, or when I do get four starslides in and then try to do a tailslide at the top of the water, despite the fact that I am pressing down while approaching the surface water at a very shallow angle from below, my tailslide won't kick in and I'll just jump out of the water at a very shallow angle with tremendous speed, which of course wastes about 8 more seconds as I wait for the dolphin to land. Very very very frustrating. I now have to mark the game down to 3 stars until glitches like this second issue I mentioned are fixed. Fun game, but frustrating.
It seems like they changed the controls on this game. When you spin, you have to stop your spin by hitting the opposite spin direction. Makes the player very unstable and reduces the playability of the game. I have to drop my rating from 5 stars to 2. :(
Ditto what CodeGuy said. The game is still a lot of fun, but it is frustrating to do everything perfectly and still get the shaft because there are no starslides where you need them to be.
daizaru -- I was having the same problem you were until someone told me what I was doing wrong. You need to get a lot of horizontal speed, then do a normal jump at a 45 degree angle after you've got 20 "nice entries" in a row (so you have enough speed), then do at least 4 STAR slides to build up a tailslide bonus. Then, and only then, can you jump out of a tailslide properly. Also, when you are approaching the surface of the water to do a tailslide, approach the surface at an almost parallel angle so that you maintain your horizontal speed out of the tailslide jump. You need the starslide bonus (starsliding at least four times) to get your tailslide jump high enough to reach the starslides out of a tailslide jump though.
OK, I get how to starslide and jump out of a starslide. What I don't get is how to jump out of a tailslide on the surface of the water and maintain my speed. It just doesn't work for me. I get all kinds of horizontal speed (like 130m/s) and then with 40 seconds left, I land in the water while rolling, hold the down button to maintain the roll underwater, then go up and do a tailslide (holding the down button), then immediately jump out of it by hitting the up button. I just don't jump as high as some people here are doing. I get about level with the sun, then I come back down and I've lost all kinds of horizontal speed and I haven't jumped that high. Can anyone explain what I may be doing wrong?
4 is tough because the enemy's gun has a minimum distance range, meaning that if your shield is within a certain distance to the enemy, the enemy won't shoot it. The enemy will shoot the shield if you keep the shield at least an inch away from the enemy, AND keep the shield between the enemy and your sword. This would be a bit easier (still hard, but easier) if the AI didn't suck so bad.
Challenge 5 is near impossible.
This game sucks. Aiming is near impossible, the cursor is hard to see, the shots don't follow the cursor, and if you change direction, your shots fall short. 1/5
Fun game, but way too easy after the first few battles. Needs rebalancing, and the combat needs to be redesigned to add more player control and to make a player's skill matter more.
