Long jump to a lower, short roof with a box in the middle followed by another even longer jump. This is almost certainly a no-win situation because you do not know it is coming. A mini-map that gives a heads up of the upcoming buildings would make this game much less luck based.
The contrast between the other screen and inner screen is a obnoxious. At the very least, they should not be nearly the same colour. Music or sound would be appreciated.
It's really unintuitive that you have to press UP to engage every ladder, rather than just holding UP. I found it really difficult to even master the jump between ladders segment in the tutorial because of this.
I've hit a glitch where elevators sometimes combine into one, instead of switching places which then prevents either from moving. I've had weapons upgrade in the middle of a level so that I no longer had money for a new elevator (though that weapon was a laser, so it didn't matter too much). But this game is still awesome for it's look, its mechanic and the music.
Make a lot of spokes and put in some spindles to separate the spokes into multiple segments. I mean, a lot of spokes. Like, you could easily have 200 by the time you reach the bat stage. If he hits the center of the web, that's 200 spokes meeting at a corner. The web won't even turn red.
Movement and dialog in this game are a chore because everything is too slow. It took me HALF AN HOUR to talk to Jack and get to the other side of the town where I might be able to leave and try combat only to discover I couldn't leave yet. I probably have to talk to somebody else. =/
