Sorry for such a long silence, Im already working on the update, but, damn, all sorts of other things fell on my head, so I don't know when I'll finish it. Thank you for patience!
I'm honestly impressed that the developer is still here, responding to comments, working on the game, more than 6 months after release. Well done, developer. I'll definitely be looking forward to seeing what other games you might put out in the future.
I feel I should point out, it's nice to see a developer who is open to criticism and is actively working, not just on improving the game they've made but also replying to comments. It shows they care and that they are committed to making something they can be proud of. You have earned my respect, Romeolord.
Seeing as the manual save doesn't seem to really do anything, i would recommend increasing the frequency of auto-saves. Maybe every 5 minutes? And some kind of visual indicator letting people know it saved would be nice.
So, for the record, the production upgrade for the JHS-2 does not work. It will use up your units without increasing your production, so avoid buying that one.
Hey did you guys know you can click on the scaffolding to speed up raising the materials? Because I didn't. That's useful. Also, water is automated once you reach a certain point, so don't worry about that.
@speeddemonxx there is a rebirth counter. You can find it by going to the "Info 'n Stuff" in the bottom left, then "Misc. Stats". It'll tell you your total rebirths.
So far it's been a fun game. One minor criticism: Cost of writers seems proportionally very high compared to cost of office space. Right now I've got room for 240 writers, and upgrading to 250 will cost $284K. meanwhile, I only have 70 writers and the next one is $17 million. I imagine by the time I get anywhere near 240 writers their price would be in the trillions, while it would still only be a few hundred K to upgrade office space. Could use some balancing.
For those wondering: You make ponds by selecting the hand, clicking on the pond then clicking on a piece of prepared land that doesn't have a farm on it.
I didn't like the concept of that, I increased the exponential factor of the Blacksmith strength in return. (active power - clickfest, idle power - forced to offline for days first)
I wanna say, the game has been really good so far. Issues and bugs aside, I've been enjoying it. I really hope the developers keep working on it, and people keep playing it.
I'll also be looking forward to seeing what the devs do with whatever game they might make next.
Also, a little hint for those noticing that switching tabs freezes the game: This is a common problem with Idle games. Try putting it in it's own window instead of a tab. It'll run in the background.
For those wondering, the developers are aware of the issue of the game freezing, and they are working on it. Please be patient. Making a good game takes time.
So, it seems after you've reached a certain amount of progress, the game will no longer load. Twice now I've gotten to this point. Essentially this means you either can't finish the game, or, after a certain point, you can't close it down, since it won't re-open.
