2 questions: How do I access the menu? I want to turn off the darkness.
How do you play this game? 1st level and I can't jump and the only platform I can use goes left to nowhere.
Also, pressing "e" does nothing for me.
I didn't continue playing this game because I didn't understand what the upgrades did and it took long to collect cash. I rated it 2/5 because the pixel art was above-average.
I would 5 star this game but some levels use cheap navigation and also because of my next question.
**SPOILER**
Is there any way to get a happy ending?
I like the graphics and movement engine but I'd like 2 things:
1) Clearly defined entrances for zombies.
Some seem to jump out of the floor at random and others jump out of holes in the wall you can't see.
2) I find Survivors next to useless but if you could give them better weapons, they might at least make decent Zombie fodder.
If these options are available, there should be a tutorial.
Defeating the boss is optional, so you should just feel good about getting that far I guess. Also, it gives an extra 100 points, which helps a lot on the high scores list. Getting all gold looks cool. Also, did you not enjoy the game itself? ;)
I really liked this game but I have some gripes.
1) I didn't like the ending but mostly due to personal preference. Also, isn't this game showing a delay of the inevitable?
2) Potion mixing: PRO: Recipes saved so I don't have to decipher notes and hope I remember what that symbol I drew was. CON: Although it only happened once, having to backtrack to get more ingredients.
3) Sometimes the screen wouldn't load in fast enough and I'd hit an invisible wall and die. Also, the fans on the tech planet are a bit iffy.
4) My biggest gripe is that (especially noticeable during the last boss) throwing interupts jumping and vice versa. I like the strength mechanic but it does stop movement flow.
2) Rather than having to wait till the prep screen and individually adding items to find out their stat increase, maybe put that in its desciption - not just 'medium' or 'weak'?
Cute concept but fails on delivery.
1st Point) Even if you max out the grid and equip slots AND collect most of the items in a level, it doesn't help because:
a) items are random b) you can combine enough items (esp magic) c) you don't know how much to put into each stat until AFTER you've faced the boss.
Also, all those handy hints that come up during the first half of each level disappears, so I have to guess based on size...
There's too much wrong with this to recommend. If I could change the controls, if I could indentify the zombies from the background, if there was a reason to use the axe over the gun, if maxing out your grenades gave you more than 10... it might be worth recommending.
I'd also appreciate a bigger time gap from "Horde approaching, run!" to actually being mobbed.
> How do I access the menu Escape, this is a pretty standard key > I can't jump Press W or Up, again, pretty standard.
