azurfay: The black orb provides light that goes away when you're in its area. So you can't use it to walk over platforms, but you can use it for the orbs that only spawn when light is nearby, and you can use it to move moving ball-holders.

Easily one of the best puzzle games I've ever played. Brilliantly designed puzzles, huge number of levels, brilliantly designed puzzles, some great humor (I laughed for a minute straight at 54's ending), and also man these are some good puzzles. 5/5 and my gratitude for some great hours of puzzling. =)

The slot machine, surprisingly, does indeed let you win before you change the odds. In my playthrough, I unlocked the secret lab before entering the bathroom at all. Turns out I was quite lucky at the slots; pulled the lever around 10 times before winning.

I don't like these games (Wake Up the X) because I always wind up spending WAY more time trying over and over and over to get my solution to work than I do actually thinking (which is presumably the point of a puzzle game). I don't mind games where this is a sign that there's a better answer, but my problem with these games is that half the time there IS no better answer, the placements/timing are just that picky. This aspect really just ruins the games for me =( 2/5

I can't play these games without imagining the sushi being lasagna and the cat being Garfield

We know for a fact that the killer is politically corrupt, and we know for a fact that the Mayor is running a huge scam and embezzling money...aha! Of course! This proves that the Mayor can't be the killer! XD

I tried so many things to get the gem out of that damn thief. I killed him with the boulder, I threw him down the pit, I even shot him with all three arrow traps before running past him. Then I tried being a good guy--tried trapping him, tried just letting him go and then beating the dragon. I even successfully reached the exit with him on the exact same square as me, hoping to beat the gem out of him...nope. I figured out how to do it eventually, though =) This and its sequel are simply amazingly well-designed puzzle games. 5/5.

The last two levels were a really great challenge, and I especially applaud the second-to-last level for also being elegant (and for being a depth-first traversal of a tree, totally in theme, though knowing that didn't help me solve it). The curve is a bit steep at the end though; I can't imagine anyone who could solve the last two levels without help would find any of the other levels at all difficult.

I had lots of fun with this, and played each level until A-ranking it. Levels 6 and 9 have ABSURDLY hard cutoffs compared to everything else IMO, I think I spent as much time on those two together as all the other levels combined...

This is honestly the single best physics-puzzle game I've played out of dozens at Kong, including all the highest-rated ones. The logical, interesting design of the puzzles really impressed me, with tons of satisfying "aha!" moments throughout the game. Part of the reason I liked it so much was that obnoxious physics-oriented pixel precision was never (not once) required in the whole game. Also, since the game was fun I never even considered using a walkthrough for a second, so I really don't give a crap where that link goes. 5/5 without reservation.

Too many of these were very linear and reasonably beatable with the strategy "try everything until something magically works". I liked level 18 because it actually requires you to use logic to figure out what to do.

I spent more time on 29 than the rest of the game put together (more than three hours). Still had to go to a walkthrough to clue me to what the correct first move was >_> For a fun side challenge, if you got 29 easily then try to solve it as though the topmost red target is moved one to the right and the second-lowest red target is moved one to the left with everything else the same...it's a very different solution

This was way more fun than I thought it would be. OCD'd over every level to be sure I got the Hard badge without having to go back and redo levels, and wound up with a total of 153 >_> Definitely one of the better physics games I've played.

jmcnelis: Your comment is totally contradictory--if you can tell what the map looks like when it's paused then clearly you don't have to "try and figure it out while it's happening". Also, the sequel gives an undisturbed view of the map and even lets you put a command down before the Dibbles start coming, so clearly the developer disagrees that thinking on the fly is intended as part of the difficulty.

I like that the path limit is not always optimal. Gives a nice divide between "optimization" levels, where you have to struggle desperately just to shave off that last path, and "pathfinding" levels, where the real puzzle is just figuring out any way to link the colors, regardless of length.

Nice game--far more similar to Puzzle Quest than Puzzle Fighter, I think. I personally liked the challenge factor and was glad this wasn't just another game of Grind Upgrades to Win.

I would really have liked some sort of in-game system to tell me if I'd achieved or surpassed the intended optimal score on the level, like displaying "Perfect!" or something similar on the results screen. Great game anyway, though.
