4/5. The artistic/musical aspect of it is sublime; the gameplay is slightly lacking, if only because getting score is INCREDIBLY luck based--IMO it'd be better if there were at least a fixed number of yellows/purples per level, as opposed to in being random. Getting the Hard badge was a nightmare due to how many times I'd go the whole song without hitting a red and still be a million short--and when I did get the badge I hit THREE reds in that run. That's just silly. Otherwise, nice game.
I had no idea there was a map function before reading the comments...I'd encountered the final boss but he killed me, then I couldn't find him again and went WAY too far in some random direction...had to backtrack for sooooooooooo long >_> kinda fun game I guess, it's way too easy to leave the bubble by accident though IMO. 3/5
Reminds me of Nanaca Crash, which I played a long time ago...I was honestly a bit bored by this game, felt like I spent most of my time just watching the turtle. Oh well. 3/5
Nice game, haven't gotten around to completing the Impossible badge yet. The sounds the shapes make when you drop them get annoying fast, but that's my only real complaint. 4/5.
Decent game. I didn't find the story/text as amazing as some, but it was pretty good. The gameplay was ok, beginning levels were way too slow though. 3/5
I really don't quite understand the point of this "game"...yes, I'm quite sure my computer is smarter than me...is that all? Well, thanks for the free 15 points, I guess. 2/5
So...a completely blatant GH ripoff with a horrible engine and incredibly off-sync, low-quality charts gets a 3.6+ rating and badges? Ugh. At least the music is pretty good, but the game is a total disaster IMO. Congrats, game, you get my first ever 1/5 rating, enjoy.
As an experienced rhythm gamer, the impossible badge took about an hour to get >_>
Pretty good game, 4/5. I didn't like that I often missed small notes because I couldn't see them, and I REALLY don't like the way timing windows depend on scroll speed (which is the only reason Dash Hopes 3 is hard at all). Also, I swear Eight Circles has a broken note; one of the red notes in the little gallop section would never work. Still, pretty fun game.
Excellent puzzle game, some of the cards/coins are really tricky (6.7's card was REALLY hard for me), but overall good difficulty. Suggestion: make it so that the sound effects for "too much" and "too little" don't keep on playing and playing, just have one short noise and then stop. Still, didn't significantly detract from the enjoyment. 5/5
Kind of fun, I guess. Leveling up makes everything too easy compared to how hard it is. Also, the little locations in between dungeons seem pretty pointless; it'd be nice if there was more to do in them besides read one line of flavor text and move on. Oh, and monsters that spawn right next to you shouldn't be able to hit you that turn. 3/5
Hilariously, my first score over 75k after getting 73899 was over 125k. Almost had the 75k before the king even ate XD
I honestly like muffins, because those give you crazy points from edge + accuracy bonus...it's the bombs I hate, especially towards the end when there are several in a row...I can stack the muffins on top of each other, but trying to stagger the muffins away from a bomb is friggin' impossible >_>
Man, rarely am I so impressed with a game's concept and so disappointed with its implementation. The controls are, as everyone says, hideous, especially the shift jump thing which is just plain awkward to maneuver with. Wall jumping is also awkward. The levels started out great, but eventually just became mindless platform jumping (with a couple exceptions); the game's mechanics fit well with puzzle platforming, but puzzles are rarely used in the later levels. The boss fight was cool, then the same exact thing two more times was not cool. Checkpoint placement in later levels is awful; there should NEVER be additional risk/challenge involved in securing a checkpoint. I was unhappy to see the "ice block recommended" stuff as far in the game as I did; it probably wasn't necessary past level 5 or so. All in all, great ideas, poor execution; 2/5.
Good game, but:
-No quick restart button
-No mute function
-Silly scoring system (getting combos and coins is SO much harder on levels 20-25, but this is not reflected in the score)
-Occasionally, it's impossible to avoid breaking combo (laser level).
3/5 for good game with some problems.
2707 deaths and 7-8 hours later, finally have all 1010 coins. Never left a level without 25 coins unless it was mandatory due to switches.
5/5 without a doubt. Excellent level and game design all around, one of the best platformers I've ever played period. Only complaints are the locations of secret levels 7, 8, and 9--there are no clues whatsoever that lead you to them as far as I can tell, and that sucks.
Note to those who think this is too difficult: little in this game actually requires incredible control or dexterity--only level 40 is really a test of pure skill. Almost everything else is a matter of finding a better solution, rather than just pressing the keys better.
