I get why people are mad at this game getting 19 badges out of nowhere, but I got a shot in the arm from it. I helped beta test this game back in the day and now I'm 16 badges richer for it.
To anyone wanting to make brilliant a little easier to obtain, make sure not to waste your skulls. Gem Return will not only take back all of the moved gems on the level, but will return them to an untouched state.
Beat the twisting void orb, went back in, it picked up a blue border meaning I could just beat it to death for free as long as nothing else was attempting to attack me. Wasn't expecting that.
Solid game. For anyone struggling with Hardcore, the code Slayer1331 gave is valid, and doesn't prevent you from getting the badge. You might have to start a new game and click the ending in settings, but it doesn't prevent getting the badge.
@Skywalker113 I usually will start off aiming to get "Recycling is Cool" before any other blood upgrades. This will grant you brains when a zombie dies, and without any health or damage increases, you'll be pumping out cannon fodder and collecting brains pretty regularly in the early game.
(forgets to upgrade his computer) "Okay, I can manage this with only a little lag jump every ten seconds or so." (plays stutter) "sonofa..."
My own screw up aside, this is actually a pretty fun game. The various changes on how you have to play keep it interesting, whereas a lot of games that fall in a similar group really don't change enough for me to keep playing.
*starts 40, lands at 80 with minimal struggle* Apparently a good chunk of this game is knowing when to call it a day. I sucked at this the last time I played, mainly because I was tired and didn't want to stop. 40 per run, I should be done in a couple of days. It's a pretty solid game, and no, there's no guessing involved. You just have to have the clarity to realize what the game is telling you...though the screen flips still suck.
The game may be relatively short, but I kinda like the fact that you have to think as you go. People have stated that there's no ammo counter...but in all honesty, I prefer it this way. In a real firefight, you won't have time to check the ammo of every weapon you pick up. The guy literally enters the fight without a weapon on level 1, so every weapon he uses is one he picked up. You can also move the camera so you can plan out the shots you will need to make before moving to the next cover. I generally make those potshots and swap to a gun I haven't used yet, then go. If I'm out of ammo, it becomes pretty obvious when the screen doesn't flash blue.
@Trent52 if you jump right between the eye shields at the right time, you can hit the boss itself without destroying the smaller eyes, which count as an enemy kill. You basically have to pull a half-power jump the second you get a chance to run past the outer shield so you don't hit the inner before reaching the boss.
"I remember my first Charblezorb Billy. It was during the war, and A Dumb Bird offered it to me for just $10. She wasn't too bright, but at least she was an Eye Magnet. She also offered a Dirt Sausage for $15, or a Peekachorp for $30." "...Okay, no more Pokeyman for you, Gramps. Let's go play Shuffleboard."
I had a moment of realization after the introduction of rival companies. They aren't smart enough to fix the roads. If you ignore fixing some of the ones on the map closer to them, they'll either take less contracts or they'll only take the ones close to them. Makes the later missions much easier.
PJ6211, I'd rather Kong give BotD to a million of these games than ever give badges to Pay to Win games. The fact that they have to change off to badged games every day means you're going to play some older ones. As for the fact that they wouldn't rate that today, the argument is a poor one, and is easily equated to people saying that about Super Mario Bros. Games have to start somewhere, and their current form is due to the ones that came before.
Not sure if it was intentional or not, but I found out that boosters affect even the amount of time the player has been playing. I haven't cheated in any way, yet I've already got the achievement for playing an entire year, plus all of the achievements leading up to it. While I didn't want to lose the achievement, I REALLY didn't want to have the game's anti-cheating thing fire off for something I didn't do.
*removes The Bush Whacker from the formation, notices almost no difference in enemy death speed* Well that's encouraging. He'll probably be useful once I overlevel him with titan clicks, but with multiple clicks causing lag issues, it's really not beneficial to have him on the team.
Thank you for the feedback. We do have the cap on clicks per second, but players still find him useful to push through to finish hard objectives, with the Passive Criticals talent boosting their DPS and their click damage.
After the last update, you forgot to change the requirements for the Wizard job. With a 60 max skill cap, you can't reach the required 90 wisdom and lucky.
Found a few things to fix. I'm really enjoying the game thus far, especially Elle's random dialogue. I'm not a fan of idlers, but this one's been interesting. One, the achievement Catch and Release should say "Unlock the Demon Hunter Job", not "Reach the job title of Demon Hunter", as it's the first title of the Slaying job. Two, there aren't any achievements I can find regarding the Wizard job titles (though it's doubtful it will be reached anytime soon). Three, Mio's dialogue at acquaintance level about the type of guy she wants has the typo "with decent mid-control", which should be mind-control, assuming it's not a reference like good jorb.
