Some upgrades don't seem to make any difference. For example, I purchased frooms 3-6, but am on day 7 and still havn't needed more than the first 3. Same with the laundry upgrade.
Ok, so you don't actually get bonus damage for long words, which is a problem for me because I'm much much more likely to type 'filament' than I am to type 'film', because that's the way my mind works. Forcing myself to type more short words has gotten me better results that using the long words that come to my head (even if they use all the letters available)
Game is poorly designed. The object is to run away, but if your run to far to the end you can't avoid obstacles, so you are deliberatly slowing down. Also there is one obstacle that is totally unavoidable and if it appears it's game over. You are 'supposed' to press down to slide under it, but if you do that, you get caught, because you slow down. You cannot jump over it. Also it sometimes appears right at the edge of a hole so even if you don't get caught after sliding, you'll fall in since you can't jump in time for the hole.
Music is nice, but unfortunately, does not counter-act the overall bad design. 1/5.
suggestion:for story mode I hope there are boss type monsters - increasing your damage in this version isn't great since most enemies die nearly right away anyways (rapid fire>damage)
DarkOnion - you are trying to keep them alive. You get gold if they die, but them dying doesn't help you win (you win by killing the dragon, and if they die you get a replacement hero at level 0 which means they won't be able to fight for awhile). Although, you get more gold for 'almost' killing them but not actually killing them, since they pay you for healing. Though you want to almost kill them anyways since that means they fought as much as they could before returning.
not being able to erase lines is the only thing that makes this a puzzle game... how to fill all the cups without boxing yourself in. An eraser featuer (outside of sandbox) would make this extremely easy.
Not sre why but sometimes the mouse aiming becomes laggy and unresponsive (when not pointing at an enemy, I know it locks on to enemies, but I'm talking about when it's open area) even when quality is set to low, may just be my old computer. Also, NEEDS a 'quit to menu' option. Stoping to wait for enemies to kill you takes too long.
coins always move away from you when they appear (even with all upgrades to magnets), the powerup 'lock x' becomes the worst you could possibly have as a result (makes you miss all your coins). Having a 'buff' that's actually a penalty is counter-intuitive game design.
Easy way to beat him (In addition to what Tumalu said). You can actually stand behind him when he uses his laser attack. When he's in the up position hit him from behind, this will push him forwards, when he goes to the bottom stand behind him and hit him as quick as you can (I got a 20 hit combo). Also, if you level up when he's about to use his beard or propeller attacks (you'll see his mouth change for both) it actually cancels them, so you can contunue to hit him after leveling instead of dodging an attack. Rate up so people can see this easy strategy.
Level 20 is extremely luck based, every time I've done it the vampire bounces off the ramp and up into the low hanging wall, rather than straight across, when I watch the walktrhough it goes straight across, but not when I do it. 3/5 until fixed.
Fun game.. to a point... there comes a time when you only need 50 or so more bots to hit the wall, you've upgraded everything and the battle momentum favours you, so you really are just waiting, and the computer stalls with frequent EMPs... time to make sandwich and watch TV for a bit...
Funny thing, you actually don't want to upgrade speed. Low speed means your units will cluster together more (focus fire FTW), wheras high speed means your guys will get singled out before they can do much on the battlefield.
Wow I got it 'right' on my first time through and I thought the sheep eating the tree was a bad thing, until I did it again and killed the poor flower in my first move ;.;
