It starts quite fun at first, but towards the end of the levels, as you hunt through the pieces hoping that 5 or 6 out of the 6 or 7 possibles you always have for a space will be easy to eliminate, and praying that you haven't missed one, thus invalidating your entire chain of reasoning, you just lose the will to live.
There's a LOT to like about this game. Sadly, the gameplay isn't quite enough to nudge it into the realm of masterpiece, so it'll just have to settle for terms like 'genius' and 'inspired'. Do check it out! Funny thing, tho... not clicking on the mouse button at all is making my finger ache...
Well extreme mode isn't easy, but it is unbelievably tedious. You sit there for what seems like hours, and ANYTHING you build will keep back the tide of enemies (usually without them getting down more than 5% of the track), and then all of a sudden they tear through with absolutely no warning at all. Very, very unrewarding to play.
Pretty good... the puzzles involving the physics engine are great, but it's infuriating that the physics applies in exactly the same way to your character as well; you're always sliding off the edge of objects in a way that just doesn't suit living beings. Also the DIE CUTE ANIMALS DIE! aspect of the game is a little watered down by the fact that you always know you're going to restart the level and attempt it with less deaths anyway.
It's a shame that both of these negatives are showcased so early on in the game by Level 3.
Still, these are quite small grumbles, overall I was impressed!
Wow, finally got me 30 pt badge. Using your powers to place pieces which complete levels and simultaneously gain more powers was the key to it all in the end. This game is going on my favorites list :)
