Well, controls may make your score lower, if you aren't very careful with the tile rooms. I am somewhat disappointed in a no time requirement. I do like the puzzles, although some are classics that everyone should already know. In general it was fun, although not a very good test of IQ. Take it as a game, and it will be entertaining!
A little on the easy side, maybe, but well designed. Somebody mentioned a hard mode, but I do not see a link anywhere. Ironic, maybe, given the name of the game.
How to Bat: Build webs in corners. Work until you have a funnel around the outside. Bat just takes a little time. Stopped eating at stage 14, with about 60% of my outside web solid gold thread and tons of stuff trapped.
I agree with solving the locked pieces and ones early. After that, the 5's and 6's should be placed. Placing 2's is also pretty easy to figure out after that, leaving just a little luck with the 3's and 4's. By adding those baby steps I got the badge easily. (2:12 time.) Hope that helps anyone still working on it.
Arrow key controls (anything less than mouse) on a game like this is rather... clunky. Otherwise it seems fairly solid. I just dislike the control scheme for something like this!
There is too much of a luck requirement for the game. I hate the soul shrines idea, especially with the slower combat. One badly placed combat can ruin a run. Furthermore, the dragon does indeed deserve a nerf of some kind. It should be possible with good gear and an elixer. Finally, she isn't very good at this, is she?
... gunmanship 60 something. Damage about 4-5 on a lot of thing with automatics. Miss about 20% normally, and shields are a bugger.
Melee weapon with 30 skill, 45 damage, no misses.
Seriously unbalanced... especially with reload times. Ah well, you can still win the game if you focused on guns, just use a few melee weapons with high stats.
The game isn't too bad... but one thing really bugs me. The level 12 boss is much harder than the level 15 boss. In fact, it's not even close to a contest.
The fact that the level 15 boss is so pathetic makes me sorry I continued past level 12 in some ways. The game failed to get harder, and the only new enemy was a super easy weak to melee type. Other than that... it was fun.
Level 20 is too random. One unlucky bounce and you lose. This makes the game a rather anti-climatic experience, and detracts highly for me from a game that otherwise relies heavily on skill. *Maybe it would be possible with another skill set... but going back 20 levels for that is just not worth it*.
Hmmm... You really can slice all you want on small wave. I even broke out the magnifier tool and sliced down to 1000%. I'm guessing the work required to displace the decimal percentage to read 0 would be rather intensive... and thus not badgeworthy. Although I like the play on the badges TresChikon made!
Hmmm.... the horse race is just too painful to continue. Not only does it require destroying your spacebar, but then it also stops if you go too fast. Keeping the perfect rythym is too much effort for a measly medium badge.
Up until that, it wasn't so bad.
Finished the game with 74 of the MIS icons, and not a single badge showed up. However, it would just be annoying to do it again, and there is no way I am clicking 10 at a time to the 100k's for the high score. The game is a decent puzzler, but for the 3 badges, meh! Highly suggest you screenshot the high score page when you get there!
Wouterboy's comment does work, but it takes all the fun out of beating the trail...... Also, there is no mention in the comment, but you must hold the move left key the entire time, or you will fall short.
Nice game, even though I'm not a big fan of platformers. The time trials aren't too hard, and do allow for a mistake or two (although watching those volcanos in part 1 kill you as you try to rush is frustrating!)
Medium badge: Play levels 1-3. Upgrade. Play levels 4-8: Produce, go afk, return to win.
Seriously, game balance is important stuff... and this is about as balanced as that nice guy over in the psych ward wearing a straight jacket. 1/5 due to not even needing to play past about 1/3 of the later levels.
Unlike some people... I found speed extremely useful when balanced with reproduction. With both maxed you can almost spam surges that get places super fast, and you end up taking key points so fast that the AI has no real chance to respond. Strength and defense are nice, but I found that moderation there, and max of speed and reproduction was better, faster, deadlier.
