gah! I had $303,000 at the end of the 25 weeks but the stupid government office took $5,600 from me so I dropped below 300k! It's just like my actual taxes, Curses!
Not bad, couple issues though. Firstly, there's no penalty for getting hit while charging (you don't lose an explosion usage) so you can retry over and over until you get the size you want. And with no high score or achievements system in place there's not much incentive to keep playing beyond a few plays. The upgrades should be explained better, the way they work, how much they cost, how they affect high score (if you implement that) should all be made more obvious. Overall gameplay mechanic works well though, good job.
You should collaborate with someone who can create some better graphics and music/soundfx. The programming is really good, just add more towers and difficulties. Maybe some different-looking enemies as well. pretty good though.
extremely hard, I think the rows are way too long. I also think more space is needed between the top and first circles (at the start of a level) cuz you hardly have time to move before the piece locks into place. But as doc said, interesting variant on a classic
Visually and artistically it's fantastic. Mechanically, it has some serious issues. Having to waste a shot every time I click on the mini-map button is unfair. You're also penalized for reloading often since you lose an entire clip even if you've only used a single shot. atmosphere is good, sets the mood well. map/maze can be frustrating but it reminds me of the original Resident Evil so kudos for that. 4/5
Got the hard badge finally ($539,724 in one launch). I'm not quite sure how I feel about the game though. There are two huge problems: 1st - it's entirely unoriginal, launching some kind of animal or object as far as possible using simple upgrades etc... this formula is old and overused. 2nd - you don't do hardly anything! You launch the turtle and shoot it, that's about it. You're moving too fast to realistically maneuver for cashbags and there are very few "special" items like the nuke or jetpack. However, the art style is very endearing, the characters all pay tribute to various games or videos, and turtle expressions do make you smile at least at first. Overall I'll give it a 3/5 but you should definitely reuse the art style for a more original game.
Wow... this badge is brutally difficult. I got 74,944 points (over 4000 missiles endured, over 300 disabled, over 300 hit dead-on) and I didn't even get reasonably close to any of the 4 impossible requirements. I enjoy the game enough that I'll keep playing but I think I'll give up on the impossible badge unless I get some seriously lucky games going. 4/5
SA4 - 20 min. 19 sec. grrrr. I absolutely love the game though, but I can't understand why an unlimited mode isn't available. I think we all want to see how far we can go with our mazes and juggling and whatnot. Still a 5/5 for a fantastic game but Please please put in the option for "Unlimited Creeps" in Sandbox mode at least.
92,985 - wave 146 first try. There are a few major problems. Since it becomes a maze-based TD you need to penalize the selling of towers a bit more. Anyone decent at juggling can endlessly juggle with the right kind of maze because you can instantly sell a tower and build a new one with no warm-up time. The normal mode should be more fast-paced as well (faster enemies with either more powerful shots or lower health) that would prevent so many enemies being on screen at once with lag. Solid effort though, I like the nuke and E.M.P. ideas. I give 4/5 but that's a bit generous, just needs some simple fixes.
@laracroft2me: I'm a geek and you're talking about singstar? oh dear... also "geecknes, mutch, drumms, and somthing" are all not words. Speak English. Look, I enjoy all games man. I own and XBox 360 and Wii and own literally hundreds of games across many systems. I'm in college to be a video-game 3D modeler and animator. I enjoy console games of course, but I appreciate the art of flash games as well. I wasn't saying anything about that anyway, all I was trying to say is that games (of any kind!) should be appreciated for what they are. So yes I'll be proud of having 1010 coins in this game, just like I'm proud of beating "Through the Fire & Flames" on GH3 or beating Gears of War 2 on insane. It doesn't matter what platform it is, a game should be challenging and also appreciated for what it is.
Good grief Kongregate! Am I the only gamer that likes to be challenged? As a gamer I feel accomplished by beating a game ONLY if it was incredibly difficult. Anybody can beat "Upgrade complete" or "learn to fly" so there's no satisfaction in beating them. Getting all the coins in "Moneyseize" on the other hand is a true accomplishment that I can actually be proud of once I get it. Don't rate a game poorly because you're too baby to do it. It also isn't fair to complain about lag, that's your computer's fault, not the game's. Don't punish the game for that. And graphics? If it lags for you now, imagine how much worse it'd be with better graphics. My point is that you can't rate a game poorly because you personally can't handle it, work at becoming better with precision movements and speed and you'll enjoy it... that's my rant for today - 5/5 from me
