I love this kind of game: Difficulty is downright sadistic (holy crap lvl 40) and it's terribly underrated because there are so many wusses who can't handle a game that takes true skill to complete. This is 3.54 when garbage like Hedgehog launch 2 is 4.1? Please... any game like this that's able to weed out the crybabies gets a 5/5 from me every time.
ugh... I hate it. I don't see how it can be fun to push a couple arrow keys and then watch a poorly drawn hedgehog fall for 2 hours. It's like an incredibly boring platformer that never ends, and it'll take more than a cheap upgrade system and pointless "stylish clothes" to make it enjoyable for me. 2/5, I hope it doesn't get badges, there are many FAR more deserving games than this.
@ SanKai: Pause the game (P) and you can mute sound, music, or both. @Zynathias: It's toggle, not hold. Push the mouse button once and it will automatically fire continuously until you push the mouse button again.
GAAAAAAHHH!! Why?! That's the third time I've reached level 28 without dying and then got killed before wave 30! beating 1-30 without dying is the only feat I still need and I simply cannot get it...
@ the last three comments: Quit whining! If you don't like the game, that's fine. But give a reason, something that the developer can use to maybe make the game better. ZunderFury is rated quite highly so obviously some people really like it, if you feel you have to put the game down then do so with constructive criticism or at least a reason instead of just being a jerk.
game completed, score: 922
Pretty fun, I enjoy word games. It's nicely polished but I'd like to see various difficulties or achievements to give it an extra something.
sigh... I suck at this game... 14/18 feats and I'm not even remotely close to getting any of the last four. I enjoy the game a lot, I just wish I was better at it.
my ball keeps bouncing off the bottom with no penalty to me. Also, the inability to control the way the ball leaves the bat makes it less a game and more an exercise in following the ball.
actually, if you take the pac-man idea and run with it you could have a pretty original and interesting aspect to the gameplay. Unfortunately, other than that level, it's just another mouse avoider. Keep working on it, you take some interesting twists that spread from the norm, just needs some development.
Ok, not too bad. Here's some ideas though: Firstly you MUST put measure lines on the fretboard so it's possible to tell if a note is on or off beat. The guitar twang sound (from a missed note) is way too loud, it simply overpowers the song itself. I realize timing on a game like this is incredibly difficult to nail down, but it does need a bit of work. Graphics are bad so it'll run smoothly but give us a graphics adjustment button so we can determine for ourselves what to use based on our comp. And obviously needs a lot more songs, after beating the 2 of them on expert I now have nothing to do. Lots lots lots more songs. Good effort though, I'll give ya 3/5 but it'd be 4/5 with a touch more work.
I enjoyed it, looking forward to the full version. Add some sound/music (but don't forget mute button) and refine the collision detection a little bit. It felt like a crapshoot sometimes on whether a dot would explode. Maybe add some different kinds of dots (bonus dots or even dots that you must avoid) to keep things interesting. Overall a clever idea that works pretty well, great potential.
WooHoo! I'm first to complete every snookers challenge, top of leaderboard! Impressive physics engine, setup works pretty well. The music can get pretty obnoxious though, it'd be nice if you could choose between different background music. But till then I appreciate the mute button :) 4/5
I'm sorry, I don't care what anyone says - this impossible is the hardest badge on Kong. "complete lvl 1-30 without losing a life"?! By itself that would still be harder than most impossibles, but EVERY feat?! Maybe I just suck at this game, I don't know. But for me this is by FAR the most difficult badge.
An obvious imitation of the Visitor but I appreciate that you told us so right in the description. It'd be nice to have a few extra options to achieve alternate endings, and the movies move a little too slowly. Overall, nice work 4/5
Great work, needs some polish though. A couple small glitches with movement, some of the units need more explanation. Like the Armor - What's it do exactly "Protection Equipment to Stop Enemies" doesn't really tell me anything. I love the movement aspect though, and the graphics are good (if a bit small). 4/5 now, but great potential here.
