The most difficult impossible badge on Kongregate, hands down! lvls 1-30 without getting hit?! 500k with lvl1 weapon?! Yeah right... I'm a badge addict but I know better than to chase after this one.
There are so many babies talking about how this game is "gay" and the controls suck and and it's too frickin hard... Every one of those comments makes me like the game more. Obviously we finally have a game that can weed out the pathetic whiners who can't handle a challenging game where they actually have to (gasp!) work for the achievements. What?! no way to cheat? you don't get achievements by playing for hours on end? no luck involved?
Yep, sorry punks. You have to actually earn an achievement for once. If you can't handle it, give up instead of bashing a game that took countless hours to create. Try doing something difficult for once in your life that requires quick reflexes and skill rather than infinite free-time and luck, and STOP crying about it!
Impossible lvl 4 "Elevator to Heaven"... can it be done? Has anyone here beaten that level? I've tried every way I can think of to get past the part with the salt pillar on the left and 7or8 razors on the right and I honestly can't understand how you could get past em. I'm done with the first 3 impossibles and everything below em but "Stairway to Heaven is killing me. Does anyone know how to beat this cursed level?!!
One of the better games I've played in quite a while. Well-designed levels and bosses, good animation and graphics, and just enough addicting quality. Music can get a bit obnoxious but it's decent. Flows smoothly and collision detection is spot-on. Just add a retry or continue of some kind, maybe you have to pay a certain amount to continue or something. add a high scores board too, then this game would really rock. 4/5 for now
Loads of fun and still frustrating as hell. Inconsistency is really the only issue (doing the same thing twice with different results). How in the world do you beat Killer Mountain (1st level of Impossibles). There is a "mute" button by the way. It's the Command key for Macs and the Control key for PCs. 4/5
absolutely dreadful. I've tried several times times now and there is nothing that makes any sense AT ALL! I read the "intel" which was beyond useless, unit interaction is minimal and sloppy, nothing to indicate what wave you're on or stats of any kind, no explanation on buttons, utilizing cover is essentially impossible since your soldiers can't see or shoot through, around, or above anything, an incoherent slop of icons litters the screen with almost no explanation, everyone is incapable of aiming, fire animation shoots to the left and ignites someone on the right or goes right through someone doing no damage, no indication of objective or strategy... I could go on. I'm almost never so harsh on any game, I always try to respect the time a developer puts in. But this is simply awful without at least SOME instruction. 1/5 till then
For those who think "it can't possibly be random cuz I keep losing" are whiners that simply can't play well. If you truly don't believe it's random check out this site. http://blog.playr.co.uk/2008/11/random-it-is-random.html The developer even lets you view his source code for the game. It IS random. If you can't win you need to refine your strategy or play something else, NOT post comments about how the game must be rigged. Quit whining!
10,850 points on my first try. I found it easy enough, would be nice if you could set the time limit to what you want to play with. Also would like to see different sized puzzles so everyone can enjoy it. Needs a high score table too.
Made it to level 60 on Hard without losing a single life, now I can retire from this game in peace. Enormous improvement from the first two installments, 5/5
My complaint at first would be that it's too easy, but once you hit levels 40 and up it becomes difficult enough to pose a challenge. The side rotation adds an interesting dynamic. Still too simplistic for a 5/5 and the replay value after adventure mode is very low. But very polished and quite addicting nonetheless. 4/5 from me.
It's hard to know what to rate this. There's a lot of depth here and clearly a lot of time and effort went into development. But there are some serious bugs in the game. The save system is so intensive that saving/loading times are just absurd (if you can successfully save or load at all) and the glitches with disappearing units obviously needs fixing. The overall gameplay and setup is really great and I really appreciate the time spent in development, but there are just some major bugs that can't be overlooked. 4/5 for now.
wacky, off-the-wall puzzle game. Perfect music for it too. The puzzles are just right, beatable but you have to think for quite a while on some of em. I'm finally stuck on 7 lives left, no solution that I can see... anyway, 4/5 from me.
wow, what an intriguing concept. I made it through normal mode up to level 52 but then it just gets brain-numbing difficult. C'mon guys, don't write any answers in the comments. That completely ruins the game for everyone. Very cleverly thought out puzzle game. 4/5
