"OutHack focuses on [...] story" Yeah, no. Except for cutscenes, the whole 'storyline' consists on a randomly appearing WPA3 that you just extract from to win the game. You call that a story? Because I don't.
Some advice: a card game isn't much of a card game if you can't customize your deck a little. I'm particularly annoyed by having so many Feathers (and Crows) from the outset, basically crippling your deck until you flood it with useful cards to minimize their chance of appearing. I get that just allowing the player to freely change what they want is a bad idea, or it could make the game too easy (having Stab be the only attack card would basically give you an infinite combo, and Writer's Block would be entirely trivial if you could just remove it), but letting the player have some control over the cards would make this game a lot more enjoyable.
After my first crushing defeat, I stayed in the first fight farming inspiration and getting more cards via Quick Sketching. At some point I realized, based on the cards I got, that I was paving Aisleen's way to be a better artist by having her Study, Sketch and Wander, making sure to always stay Curious and take care of herself by Resting and having some comfort food (Apple Pie) now and then.
Also, Stabbing a bunch of people to satisfy her love of Gore. Look, they can't all be winners.
Weird thing just happened to me...
Hairy Knuckles: 5 + 6(items)
Greasy Stuntman: 0 + 5 (V-P)
Weapon: Monkey Wrench (90 WP)
Launched at 45° with full power... and got stuck in an endless loop of geel hitting the clouds -> meteor down to earth -> bounce right back into the clouds. It didn't seem to be stopping anytime soon, so I left to get lunch; when I got back it seems like it got to around 1.45 million distance before finally stopping.
A thing to note: The first time I played, when it came time to input the first word, I wanted to know what happened if I put a random word in it. I tried "TREE", and, well... when it came time to actually put in the tree, it wouldn't let me do it again and had no idea how to proceed.
