What's up with unconverted charms going missing?! I just went from restart to diamond mine and I now have just 87 charms earned from last restart! I currently have 23.5 trillion cash and 50 or more mines of every type (except diamond, only 1 of those). Developing just to gold mine earned me 101 charms on the first go-round. How is it that earning literally thousands as times as much as the first time around netted me less charms?!
In my first two resets I earned 1253 charms. How is it that this third (and highest level yet achieved) cycle dumped my charms?! WTF?!
I'm in the same boat, Silvadel. It looks like xp accrues from mining: I went a way for a few hours and my xp bar is higher now, but I haven't sold anything... I'm assuming it's mining that made it go up.
Some observations: Books stack. Weapons don't. Make warriors fastest to absorb hits, healers 2nd fastest to heal warriors. Thank you @Subtor for the farming tip: 2nd to last room is definitely better than the Pabalum Pits. :)
Geeze, the UI in this game stinks! Also, what's with the warning about primary weapons? As far as I could tell, there's no way to fire more than one weapon at a time no matter what type of weapon is equipped... so why offer a warning about it? I stuck it out and made 100 kills to earn the botd, but I won't bother with this game again. 2/5.
Gah. I played this game for what seemed like an hour before it ended, and got 94 kills. Grrr. Lowering my previous rating of 2 stars to 1 star because half the time personnel does not engage the enemy _at *all*_, even though the game says the targeting is automatic. Automatic? Automatic would have been the jeep and .50 cal letting loose on the 6 soldiers that just waltzed by it, or the freaking medics actually moving to help wounded comrades. This game is the pits.
Great concept! Nice retro feel. Only 2/5 though because this is very extremely unfinished. Keyboard response is intermittent and sometimes completely non responsive. Lack of environmental controls (volume, music, quit, save) mark this as a work in progress, not a game. It's a *good* work in progress, mind you... just not very playable at present. I'm looking forward to seeing how the game works when it is finished. :)
