I second the call for more levels. There's a lot of potential in the buttons that removed two lines at once. I was hoping that they'd eventually be combined with the switches that allowed a wire to be turned on and off - there's a puzzle mechanic with a lot of unexplored depth there.
I don't like the way it punishes you for levelling up. Causing big chain reactions and getting level-ups is supposed to be fun, but if it invariably brings you closer to death... it makes me unsure whether I should be trying to get as any explosions as possible or as few as possible.
I'm making other game modes soon, for example: a mode where the goal is to clear out a whole orb as fast as possible. This won't have this certain mechanic which I agree can be perceived as completely counter intuitive. The reason things work like they do in the Containment game mode is sort of an experiment. An experiment which I sort of enjoy myself. I wrote a little blog entry a while back if you want to know my reasoning behind all this: http://southgrove.net/post/10760532972/making-the-player-her-own-worst-enemy Thanks for the comment btw. =)
The level randomiser is sort of broken. That covers most of the complaints about the difficulty.
If you must use randomly generated levels, don't sort them by difficulty or track the highest scores, since most of the time there's no way to match them.
When you gain control of a laser the command automatically switches to the next one. Which is fine, but it causes bugs if the next one can't be controlled because you've already overpowered your enemy.
