Review:The music has this New Super Mario Bros. Feel to it, and it's great! However, the gameplay itself feels pretty lacking. The control just feels a tad weird and its terribly basic. From my initial impression in the first 10 levels, no new mechanics were introduced. Overall, it fails to keep the charm of large scale game like Shift, but its good enough for what it is trying to accomplish. 7.5/10
One, his name is not Slender, it is Slenderman. Slender is an online game loosely based off of Slenderman. You appear to only know about the online game too, so do your homework. Second, Your game is just stolen graphics with lame effects and terrible self-made graphics thrown in. Third, this game is terribly easy. Lastly, Slenderman is a type of ghost figure, and is terribly tall. One does not simply shoot Slenderman.
I was wondering about if I should call it game.
I'm not sure I understand about the 'no goal' part... 'FreeDraw' mode, yes it's monochrome MS Paint with fewer features. However, in the 'Demo' mode, or if you load a game saved from 'FreeDraw', it is basically tracing something that was previously drawn, so the objective would be to complete the picture.
You actually....went and drew 99 images individually for.....this? You sir need to get your priorities straight and make something good. Programming can be fun, but it's no tier for a kid.
Put it in english, or at least captioned english. I guessed on the buttons. Also, the coin positions couldn't be more trollishly placed. You CAN'T go for the airial coins as they can often leave you falling into a pit.
Oh hey, its the same game as last time, except flipped and with a mechanic that makes no sense. Gathering girly items in order to get a computer password? What?
Somewhat laggy, a quality switch would be greatly appreciated. While I'm only a little into it, I noted that the enemy and shooting systems, while unique, are incredibly frustrating. As the enemies fire constantly, jitter back and forth, and moving makes your aim off, it just feels awkward. 3/5.
A surprisingly fun concept. It's not the 'best' game ever, but it has some serious potential. Add something to make it stand out(an art style, such as bright particle effects, brings a lot of attention), maybe an upgrade or level system or two, and I'd be sure to give it a favorite. PS: Go lurk around, there's a BUNCH of artists who'd be willing to help a quality game creator. I'd focus on gameplay right now, though.
Thank you very much for the suggestions and constructive criticism! This is admittedly a very simple game, but I hope that I will be able to turn it into something better.
I apologize, me and this other developer shared the same game template, I assure you I did the lions share of the code and did not just change the character sprite. If you would take notice before you accuse we both have Stencyl at the beginning of our games. It is a game in progress and I will remove the first 3 levels if it is bothering the community.
This game is based on Slender a game by Parsec Productions. This game is not easy to win, you have to shoot 8 times to him, no one... lol
