I wanted to like this game so much. Spent 3 hours playing, trying to figure out how the dev meant for the air units to be handled. Such a fantastic game, utterly destroyed by horrific air unit balancing. Need to increase the damage and range of all AA towers as well as decrease the cost.
Excellent game. Wish the animations were faster. Protip: Make sure you kill everything on every level, including waiting for spawners to stop creating new enemies. This will ensure that your whole team is over-leveled for the entire game, making it a cakewalk. Also... Stat priority is" Max Accuracy->Max Ammo->Max Range, then play with the others as you see fit. Missing several shots or running out of bullets will both make the game much harder than it needs to be.
Very much enjoyed the game, and I like the rapid dev feedback. I wish building things didn't take one of your turns. It makes it harder to dispose of your spare resources before each raid.
I'm loath to give it 5/5 on the hope that if we like it enough the developer might make it good. It has a decent core and engine. With upgrades it would be a pretty awesome game. Without upgrades it amused me for about 4 minutes.
I had the same issue Turtle did. After clicking any block and pulling it out on a 20 layer tower, I was never allowed to select a force point again. It looked like the block I pulled was never placed back on top of the tower, and may have flown out of the play area...
I don't know if the parachuter guys are bugged, or if you're supposed to have to rebuild your entire offense every few seconds as they wipe your side of the board. Either way they make the game suck out loud.
Very fun. The trick with the bosses is obviously to just take over all of the territory instead of trying to kill the boss. I just wish it were a little slower paced so I could actually focus on evolving my units the way I would like them.
What an awesome game. For survival, all you need are magma, eyes, and slow. Just build a column on the far left, with slow and magma, every time a boss is about to reach the top, destroy the column and move it one space to the right. Toss an eye in for invis bosses (invis regulars will die without an eye) Because they can't cheese blocks until the reach the top of a column, you are immune to that, If they make it to the third column, rebuild the one in row one, so they are being hit by 10 magmas at once. Very simple, completely foolproof. You have to use spacebar to pause the game to allow you to build and unbuild columns at the right time.
I like this type of game generally, and this is a decent attempt. The major flaw is that each flight takes so long, and requires constant interaction. I really want to finish the game and buy all the upgrades, but I don't have another 3 hours to sit here and click the mouse every 18 seconds as the floppy guy is landing again.
there should be a separate section, or possibly a separate site, for these flash movie thingies. As a game, it rates a solid 0/5. As a movie, it was entertaining for all of 10 seconds.
Right.. hmm we'll consider this. Great suggestion!
