LOL... So I was attacked by the apprentice. Everyone but my Lv1 mage girl died, then the apprentice got stuck... I had to leave the battle running overnight, but she went to level 30 when the dust settled. Hahahaha
Fun little game, put together pretty well. This is a nice spin on the management genre. Is the art truly original? It's excellent, practically commercial quality.
Eh, didn't do anything for me. The art and style was nice, the sound and music was... eh... I like abstract, dark, thoughtful game experiences, but this one was pretty blah, imho. Almost like it was trying too hard to stir emotion (which, for me, has the opposite effect).
Awesome game! Don't be in such a hurry you whiners, I think watching the fat cat bounce around is one of the most enjoyable parts of the game. I really enjoy the style, humor, and artistic skills that went into this game.
I find it easier to enjoy games that have good sounds and music, so I like this one. Even without that, it's fun and enjoyable, and I love their crazy expressions.
I like this take on the genre, it reminds me of other digging games I've enjoyed. Actually, there isn't a digging game I haven't enjoyed, oddly enough... I spent most of my first time playing thinking the pressure gauge was the gas gauge, so that might be worth labeling more clearly. Otherwise, it was fun and funny :)
Oh yay, another game with overpowered automatic weapons... The game itself is a neat idea, but there's no challenge, so I'm not too interested. If I don't get any better at it after playing it 10 times, it's either too hard or too easy... but to be fair, I didn't feel like playing it more than once, so I'm extrapolating a bit. :P
You people suck, stop rating this game poorly because it doesn't play like older games of the same style. If you forget about that, then you'll realize this is a fun and well-implemented game. The graphics are great, and everything runs pretty smoothly, which is more than I can say for most games that have the same rating (and even many that have a better rating). This game is easily worth a solid 4.
I'm a sucker for polished graphics... even though the graphics for the ships is mediocre, and whoever drew the character that talks during the tutorial should be kicked in the head. The game itself is fun - like zuzhonney said, nothing new here, but it seems to be done well. I agree with Zyklone, the view needs to be zoomed out a bit - maybe this would help the ship graphics a bit too, as they seem a bit low-res.
man, i wish i could come home from work with as much control and awareness as this guy seems to have. It's not fair that his dance moves are better than mine too...
PS - just noticed the instructions show you can switch between shooting at the top of the screen and the bottom by pressing the 'v' key. pretty cool since enemies don't shoot upwards...
like sid meiers' pirates, but no exploration or piracy. Also, cannons only shoot on the side of your ship that is closer to the top of the screen - if your ship is pointed at the top of the screen, it can be difficult to tell which side that is. Would be super nice if cannonballs fell into the water after a certain distance... this game isn't too bad.
When I finish a battle, if I click "go" before the menu finishes moving back to travel mode, the next battle encounter I see only gives me the "go" option (i.e. I can't fight the battle). This completely kills the game when I try to seige a city, and it then only gives me a "go" option - then I continue traveling beyond the city, but my distance from the city remains 0km. I have to continue traveling until I die.
On the travel map, when a town's buying price for an item differs from that of the town you're currently visiting by more than 1000G, the popup for that own doesn't tell you the difference at all.
