Not bad for the first version, the idea is certainly nice. A few suggestions: 1: Deleting parts is cumbersome, perhaps an "eraser"-like tool would be more user friendly. 2: Is it possible to relocate things that have already been placed? It doesn't seem so - if it's possible, it should be made more obvious. If it's not possible, well... that's pretty bad. I stopped playing altogether because I couldn't easily make adjustments to a complex vehicle I'd spent time building. 3: It would be nice to allow more creative placement of engines and fuel tank. Even better if they had a more interesting role in the game, e.g. fuel tank could explode if the vehicle isn't careful, or engines provide more power if they're closer to wheels, etc. Like I said, this wasn't bad for a first shot, but I sure hope the second installment is more user-friendly than this.
Awesome game. I really like the way the boiler "organizes" letters by bubbling up higher priority ones, and the player can change the ordering criteria. Very cool.
Oh, and it's an OK game to me. Graphics are nice, music is about what I'd expect. The feel of the game is a little weak, though - too easy to mis-click and get a penalty. Also, on the larger levels, the position of the compass for scrolling about the map is much much too close to the edge of the stage. Overall, unimpressive IMHO, but not bad either.
I like it. I think the play area could be a little larger, or the pixel blocks a tad smaller, but overall this is fun, and a nice take on the dodger-type game genre.
Cool story! Nice game, but somehow it feels like you could do better on the graphic and sound effects. Still, the puzzles were interesting, and often challenging. I liked it!
is there any point to having the wood supports now? solar supports seem to have exactly the same function and limitations, but they also negate the efficiency problem.
by the way, efficiency: wtf? introducing power sources on top of the first game's mechanics *would* be pretty cool, especially if the efficiency of those sources significantly affected the power/speed of motor rotation. but as far as i can tell, your implementation of efficiency only makes it more annoying to complete levels - it's an added restriction in a game which benefits mostly from the player's freedom of design. ruining a good game just makes me want to buy a prius even less than i originally did, a surprising feat by the way. it's a good thing that selling out is a stigma among self-respecting artists, or i'd be this disappointed too often to bother with flash gaming at all.
Heh... you could have made it REALLY annoying by collecting dots and avoiding triangles on the left, but collecting *triangles* and avoiding *dots* on the *right*
This game is nice, but it really needs control options. I feel like I'd have more fun if I could also rotate the screen by clicking and dragging with the mouse... I get a bit dyslexic when I'm limited to left and right keys.
I like the atmosphere. Getting attacked by enemies is a bit lame though, think more effort could have gone into that. Otherwise, this game is pretty cool to me.
Beautiful flash game, simple but oh-so-addictive. Maybe a little easy, but I guess you have to make it that way if you want to make a buck, unfortunately. Put a wider variety of powerups in the next one! And a customization shop would be cool.
cool. challenging mouse avoider for sure, but as a music game I found it took some imagination to match things up to the beat. Something about it was just off. Also, I don't know if it's just me or not, but the audio quality was awful, sounded like significant clipping was happening (i.e. audio amplitude was too high). Fortunately, it's a pretty fun game nonetheless.
Keep in mind, the Kongregate submission conditions clearly state that only games are allowed to be submitted, so you will get complaints for putting this up. Actually, I think they even reserve the right to ban your account if you break that rule. Even if tutorials were allowed, this one is pretty disappointing - you're using Flash for crying out loud, at least throw some animation in there. There's no interactivity whatsoever. Nevermind that the subject of this tutorial is completely random, and doesn't really accomplish anything of value. In the end, this is just pollution. I get more out of tutorial blogs.
God, why are these games so addictive... Well, this is a good take on the genre. The talented art really helps, I don't think this game would stand out at all without its graphical style.
