How to win: Start as Far East character. Conquer the Far East. Make an army of Ninjas and Ghost Bowmen. Max Art of War and Patriotism. Congratulations, you just won the game (or at least, what will win you the game). Got hard badge within a couple hours; doesn't deserve the "endurance" tag imo.
It says that the crates contain "at least one item" but they never have more than one when you open them. What's up with that? Of course, item worth would have to be reduced to prevent chainboxing, but still...
Interesting bug: Since mana isn't deducted until after that character's turn is over, and the battle ends before that occurs, if you win the battle on the turn you use a MP-using move, you don't lose any MP.
The Array Caverns don't have any lesson areas for me, Treasure Cavern is totally empty. I can fight things in the Scary Cavern, but that's it. Anyone else having this issue?
Did you click the update button on the opening screen? You have to click that button (and the update button on the following update screen) to "add" the update.
It would be nice to be able to rename your characters, currently pressing space, ESC, or clicking the button (all three being very easy to do by accident) exits the name change screen. In this way, it's pretty easy to accidentally do something that exits the naming screen before you've got it what you want it to be. I suppose saving the game right before you get the new character, then loading that up again if you mess it up is a legitimate option, but a renaming feature would be much easier.
Game screen went all white after attempting to enter the small forest area after accepting the slime king quest, I can still toggle the sound but the screen stays white.
Great game! The way it was done reminds me of NetHack, and the permadeath with upgrades obtained from previous game's points is a really cool concept, too. Can't wait for it to be available to the public! On a side note, letting us know when we've cleared a map would be nice.
Big sailor dude: Help us destroy these beetles!!! They will destroy us all!!! (Your character whacks them with a stick) Yay you beat them up we'll do anything for you!!
I think the game needs an explanation for why a big sailor dude doesn't know how to pick up a stick and whack beetles himself.
I think that towers gaining lest XP makes a bit of sense: if that tower is on high ground, well, that makes things quite a bit easier, and when things are easier, you don't learn as fast. Plus towers on high ground would be a bit too powerful if they leveled up at the same rate that other towers did. It's not a bug, it's balancing.
