I'd say give people the option when they start up. Most people playing this game will be American and we're used to ounces/pounds. My brain doesn't work well with grams/kilograms. I could fairly accurately guess at a hamburgers weight in ounces, but not in grams. The other problem is that you can't really read the numbers on the smaller weight when you are increasing it (perhaps show the number above it in a normal sized font).
I see my previous comment got down voted a couple times. It is too bad that suggestions that will make games more popular and appealing tend to get downvoted by people who are afraid of giving other people more options.
Of course, at the same time your game went from 4 to 3 stars and is no longer on the hot new games list - something to think about.
How to beat Panda: Annie - fully upgraded healing, Lee - fully upgraded taunt (increases armor - basically self-heal), Rei - fully upgraded bombs, Ken - fully upgraded shield. Using these you can keep Lee alive for a while by taunting, shielding and healing while everyone pounds away at the panda.
A bit grindy, but the developer has potential in the future. Anyway, upgrade the strength of your starting pistol to max and use it to kill just about everything. Buy the first levels of each turret so you know where enemies are coming from. Buy chaingun and max it out (starting with strength) for the tougher battles. Finally, start maxing out the right turret so you don't have to worry about that side as much (all bosses come from the right anyway), then start working on the left turret. Once both are maxxed you can buy the rocket launcher and upgrade its strength/reload so you can hit the boss with it before switching to chaingun to unload. Repair is a useless upgrade since repairing is so cheap and you'll never repair enough for it to be worth it. Max fortress HP might be okay, but you should take much damage unless you let the bosses get close.
I'm feeling particularly vindictive since you didn't include a save feature. I only played this for the achievements and since I'm not getting any I think I'll give you 1 star.
Next time include a save feature.
Btw, for those of you having problems with lag on hard mode. I was having the same problem, but I fixed it by reseting my browser zoom level to normal ( ctrl+0 ).
level 19 on hard is too difficult. I'm sure I can do it, but the speed varies way too much esp. when you are almost finished. It slows down to a crawl for a second when you are hitting all the yellow/purple keys so quickly in succession - and there is almost zero margin for error.
Umm.....just deleted my save game. God damnit, I hope you didn't update the game to remove the ad link and then change the file name. I'm not going to start playing all over again. Next time you update don't change the damn file name!
Fun and easy diablo clone. Good job. The hotkeys sometimes don't work for me though - I have to click to move somewhere for them to start working again.
The praise is a bit unfounded. This game has a lot of potential, but a lot of annoyances as well - bumping ships makes pathfinding useless which destroys any attempt at strategy, if you get bad upgrades or take too much damage there is no way to replay missions to gain more resources (and you can't reset your upgrades), the interface and visuals seems clunky and slow (e.g. really slow text you can't speed up without skipping). In short, this game wasn't properly playtested before release.
The engine upgrades for the Darkstar don't seem to be working. Maybe it is just me, but the Richter always seems to outrun it even though I've spent all my credits on upgrading the DarkStars engines.
According to the stats it shows it should be about 25% faster - and turn better than the Richter.
To the German keyboards: Yes, z may be inconvenient for you and I agree controls should be alterable in the settings, but developers, do NOT use the spacebar to try and make both groups happy - the spacebar stops other keys from being read when multiple keys are held and makes action games really annoying.
This could've been a good game except it wasn't playtested well. The upgrades are too expensive and too worthless. The game is too easy early on - and very slow paced. It isn't always clear what to do. You need to upgrade the money given and greatly increase the benefits of upgrades. You also need to make it quicker so you aren't spending forever waiting for something semi-interesting like bosses, enemies and horses to show up - only to die if it is inescapable.
We can change metric to pounds in one minute. But is this necessary?
