@Shmanel, I tried going all lazer and gaus, and it suffers the problem of only excelling at 2-3 formations. I thought that getting the highest DPS numbers on my ships would allow me to progress faster, but the numbers lie ;D A variety of guns has allowed me to progress the fastest, even though the DPS is lower. I went back to the MK2 version of all the ships' starting guns, and my scout has 2 gauss, 2 swarms and 2 rockets. This has given me the best progression because it does well against all formations.
We all know that we only want that one formation. You know, the one where they all cluster together in the center? The other formations just lower resources/min
MY apologies, the building with the best RoI is the 1k building, (the 3k is the worst). Order of best to worst RoI: 1st building (-0.9), 7th building (-99), 6th building (-165.7), 5th building (-332.3), 4th building (-599), 3rd building (-665.7), 2nd building (-749)
The 3K building has the best Return on Investment, even better than the 5M building, and I don't see any price increase when buying them. So just spam 3K buildings once you unlock everything :P
The classes with no DoTs (cleric, warrior, ranger, mage) need something to be anywhere near as competitive as the DoT classes. Give them debuffs or special abilities. For example Cleric could manipulate the stage timer. Warrior could lower defense. Ranger could add buff the speed of the party. Mage could boost the boost the party's power or have a special effect that gives him more damage the longer the fight lasts.
Best party is all DoTs (thief, chemist, assassin) and a ranger. Ranger starts slow, but once you can upgrade his abilities to 20+ he really begins to shine.
Tower targetting is terrible, upgrades are too expensive (it's more efficient to buy another tower) and I don't know if there is an aoe tower later but just getting to level 3 without one was super boring and I can't stick it through anymore.
End up doing all MK-2 lasers endgame. I could add variety but it lowers my kills by a lot. This saddens me because I want to maybe have each ship specialize in 2-3 weapon types but because lasers are the last item unlocked they become the strongest in the end.
Basically what I would love to see bought to surface is strategic combination of weapons. RIght now I don't see any DPS difference no matter what weapon combinations I have (except GAUSS, that weapon just sucks for some reason)
{suggestions} let us change the formation of our ships. . . for some reason having the "heavy fighter" ship in the back doesn't feel right lol. I want him to be my tanky ship . On that note (sorry if I'm getting carried away) the ships could have passives relative to name, instead of the bought passives in the upgrade shop.
Hehe, mb i need to remove all ships and replace whole screen with 2 values: 1st = resources and 2nd = +resources/s? ;)
