A hint: if you crash your cart you can reload the game quickly (before the score screen comes up) to not lose the groupies and start from the previous jump. Go for getting the bat->pole vault as soon as you can, as each vault is over 850 and you can chain them 2-3 times.
Got all badges by jump 114, they just take patience, I'm sure it could be done earlier. Everything does cost too much money, and there is very little difficulty.
Don't play this game in chrome! It's bugged where if the enemies touch the elevator they can become invincible. Game works fine in firefox though. A good strategy is to have 2 $100 turrets on every level, then put either a rocket launcher or a laser cannon in the last slot. Upgrade the turrets 1-2 higher than the bigger gun, always buy a new elevator if it's available. You can easily beat the last level with two level 5 turrets and a level 2-4 larger gun in every elevator.
Good game, but gets very repetitive. Can easily beat every wave of enemies except for the end boss by constantly using A-A-S flip combo. Also the fact that enemies can hit you from 0 inches away but your sword goes right through them is kinda annoying.
Had to farm levels a bit at the end to get through the last bosses HP's, but other than that, great game! Really liked the minesweeper type concept and had a lot of fun with searching for items.
To get the hard/30 second doomsurf:
Options->Game Mode -> Speedrun, select the first "Out to Pasture" level
Try to jump as little as possible & start running slightly before you see the ! on your head. You will have to hold right for hills & let go on slopes.
You can do it without any upgrades (took me 2-3 tries), but if you are still having problems, beat the level a few times and get a speed/accel upgrade.
I also got the black screen & no badge awarded...seems to be a very common problem. Hope they fix this by the end of the day or pick another badge of the day.
Really great game....but the achievements are not being credited by kongregate =\ (both medium ones bugged out for me). Should resubmit them every time the player opens the achievement pane in the game.
1/5 ridiculous bugs that don't detect when you hit arrow keys and crazy over-tuned 1 shotting bosses. Slogging through tons of useless enemies that have nothing to do with the how boss segments work. No save feature to come back even after you get frustrated from above problems. Getting these badges is just a chore.
I normally don't like these kind of games, but this one was done really well with a proper difficulty curve (do endless mode once or twice to get used to all the abilities if you are having problems with the hard badge). The fact that you can power up by getting metals also reduces the frustration of getting hard down.
Gets really tedious doing the same thing over & over 24 times, otherwise GREAT puzzle quest clone. You just need a world map & random quests to break the monotony of "adventures". 4/5
The backwards movement thing has already been talked about, but my biggest gripe with this game is that the rocket launcher is by far the best weapon, so you use it for over 50% of the game. Make weapons after the rocket launcher have some aoe capability if you want us to use them.
Absolutely amazing game 5/5 stars for sure. The only bugs I found was that it's pretty easy to jump & get stuck on a ceiling/platform. It requires a reload to fix. Otherwise, great game play, story, FFX-type upgrade system, and Metroid like map/exploration.
With Pattern: straight motion: fixed you can get the badge in 1-2 tries if you get yellow madness in the first 20 or so seconds. I ended with almost 7.5 million when i got the badge. If you are trying other patterns there seem to be a lot less shapes to collect. I was trying fixed pattern and collected 85% of the shapes along with not hitting a red & still didn't get close to the 5 million for the badge.
