Eliminator13: "Let's make the game have less depth, fewer design options, and fewer interesting decisions for no good reason whatsoever!" Seriously, look at your enemy's move speeds compared to yours and plan accordingly.
Just a reminder: Sign-ups for Kongai League #2 are still open. Skill Rank of at least 25 is required. Visit http://www.kongregate.com/forums/1/topics/53844 for more information.
puppy: Anyone, even Helene, can do well against people who don't know how to play the game. Pretty much anything I say is assuming that both players have at least a half-way decent idea what they're doing, say Skill Rank 25+.
CR0v: I propose an alternate theory: It's possible that you just suck. Yes, there is luck in this game, and it is a noticeable factor -- but skill absolutely outweighs it. Simply put, how could certain players be consistently good all the time if the game was all luck?
Kongai will never have a trading system because it is *impossible* to make it in an unabuseable way. It also doesn't really fit in with the system they have now, which would have to be completely redone.
FYI folks - The second league season will begin shortly, and you can sign up here: http://www.kongregate.com/forums/1/topics/53844 . Skill Rank of at least 25 is required for entry into the secondary league, or SR30+ to enter the primary league.
tronkal - When I first played this I thought it was mostly luck too, but it's actually predominately skill. Luck only factors into about 25-30% of the equation.
Furthermore, even IF girdle avoided intercepts, Rumiko would still only have a 87.5% chance to avoid, because almost everything percentage-wise is multiplied, not added. E.g., combining Flash Powder with Rumiko's innate is only a net of 70% to avoid intercept damage, not 90%. (Dodge effects are the main exception.)
Interrupt: To be fair, they did fix the high scores a few weeks ago and scamz and another re-added themselves again shortly after. (Of course, it took at least two months for them to finally fix it that time, but they have fixed it on multiple occasions anyway.)
There are enough people playing ranked that it's reasonably hard to scam the system directly by having someone auto-lose to you. It was a direct number hack, like we've seen countless times across Kongregate; scamz was just more subtle about it and instead of making it 9042890543 rank points, he made it believable by pushing it just above SI repeatedly.
chammidhan - Popo's Slingshot is almost always better than Poison Dart; PD has a 45% chance at 45 damage / 45% chance at 5 damage, Slingshot has a 50% chance at 60 damage, 10% chance at 20 damage. (Of course, PD is cheaper, dual range, and does pair better with Herbal Prep/deadly Poison.)
flapmeat - As SI said, Popo is fine. I would rather make some of her bad matchups like Phoebe more viable than weaken Popo; she is simply not too powerful, and a 35en Slingshot would easily make her bottom tier.
