Some information on each monster's attack would be nice. Like how a Blazern hits 3 enemies with one fire ball. Or how a Thruster hits twice per attack. Or how certain melee monsters can hit more than one enemy.
Seriously the worst controls ever. If you're going to force us to chase down the coins, at least let us aim our bullets. Simply shooting the opposite way we're moving makes it impossible to chase coins and kill at the same time. Either automatically give us money for each kill so we don't have to chase around the coins, or let us aim our bullets so we can kill and chase coins simultaneously. The setup you have now takes the enjoyment out of the game.
The only thing that separates this from other games is the controls, which isn't a good thing. If you want to be unique, improve the game in other areas. Simply making wonky controls isn't good enough.
Flawless design. This is how games should be made. Premium content that is an add-on is perfect. It allows everyone to play and enjoy your game. This is very commendable on your part. Respect.
As for the game, it's right up there with the best of the best. There's not any flash RPGs that I could clearly say are better than this. Keep making games. You're a genius.
If we add upgrades, the game would be just about farming instead of learning how to master your skills. I'm sorry if you hated controls, but you can customize everything in the options menu. I think 10 minutes is not enough to discover all the game potential.
1. Don't have your level up appear in the middle of the screen. I don't know how many times I clicked the wrong skill because I was in the middle of the battle.
2. Why not give us a little inventory, or at least pause the game to make sure we want to change an item, so we don't accidentally switch mid battle and die because of it.
3. All of this could be cleared up if our 'attack' button was different than our 'action' button that selects things like treasure and level up skills.
I'm guessing you took the Bow over the Pole, thus the Lute Player will never show up (a quests that needs to happen before he comes around). If not, complete any other quests, he'll eventually show up in town.
Very laggy but the timer counts in real time still. No matter how much I upgraded my speed I was still lagging around. The slowest arcade type game I've played. It could be incredibly fun too if things were sped up.
And you've gotta be kidding me with that speed upgrade. If you're going to make those later levels that bullet intense, we need better speed. It takes 2 seconds just to switch sides of the screen!
Thanks! I had a good group of beta testers (most from kong) who helped me all along the way :)
