Maybe I'm just stupid, but I can't figure out how to defeat the green slime aliens... Even with infestation resistance, my entire army and base get converted in seconds.
OH GOD Plan A just totally fried my brain
Also, I now have a craving for Mars bars and Mentos, neither of which are currently present in the house. Thanks a lot. :P
At first I was confused by the laser tank; Even with maximum upgrades, it would still beat me in a damage race, especially once reinforcements starting moving in...
And then I realized I could defend myself by having a DBZ-style beam clash with it, which was awesome.
Judging by how the aviators are always so dangerously low on fuel that they must rely on mysterious levitating gas cans for survival, I can only assume that they are, in fact, playing a completely different "launch" game and we're ruining their run every time we crash into one. Oops.
As funny as it is to keep punching the KO'd enemies, it seems like they can block you from hitting the still-active ones if too many pile up in one spot... Maybe make it so hit detection prioritizes the live opponents over the defeated ones?
So I come back to finish the game again, and decided to check if my previous comment had any interesting responses. I find that some random new account has decided to copy it word-for-word.
You're all right, folks, I definitely over-reacted. Don't insult my intelligence, though; If I made an alternate account to support myself (which I didn't), I wouldn't be so dumb as to copy/paste my own comments. That's for stupid spamming loonies; I'm merely an overly-concerned loony. ;)
But yeah, I concede on all points other than Captain Copycat over there; I do not use or condone sockpuppet accounts.
also i completely forgot about zombie MJ's moonwalking im in love with this game all over again aaaaa
Given the currently ongoing Ebola outbreak, I find it to be in rather poor taste to make this the badge of the day. I'm not *offended*, personally, and it's still a fun game that I've previously beaten and would gladly play again, but it was some pretty poor timing to have the featured game be one about a lethal, flesh-eating contagion spreading out from Africa. Just kind of made me feel a bit awkward.
I *think* the Badge of the Day is chosen randomly, so I'm not faulting the Kong staff here, but someone could've stepped in and said "Okay wait maybe we should change this one given current events". Like if the BotD on the anniversary of a major terrorist attack was for a game about blowing up buildings (even if it's like Godzilla or something, and not a madman with explosives), etc.
At the same time, I feel like maybe I'm overreacting? I don't even know anymore.
The whole "Necromagus can instant-kill you" thing didn't really bother me too much, since you can avoid it just by keeping your distance or stunlocking them, but then I got hit by one. Just a small setback, I thought. I'll try again, I thought.
My save point has me surrounded by at least 4 of them, in death-poke range, with all my spells on cooldown and I am immediately instadeath'd again. Repeatedly.
I eventually managed to get out of their reach before they could poke me, but by then I didn't really feel like playing anymore. Spawncamping isn't a fun gameplay mechanic when it's inflicted on the player.
Honestly? I'm slightly (VERY SLIGHTLY) disappointed. I was kinda hoping something a bit more... I don't know, is epic the right word here? I *loved* what was there, don't get me wrong, but the end was rather abrupt, and I was expecting the grand finale to be more, y'know, grand. I guess a melancholy ending is more appropriate, though, so it's all good. Absolutely top-notch; my disappointment (again, VERY SLIGHT) is only because I got myself over-hyped.
