Not sure what to make of it. It's not one of your better games, as it's perhaps TOO simple, but it's fun and difficult, without being too frustrating. Overall a fine second installment this year. Kind of hard to top Insane Rogue AI, though I suspect you will sometime.
Like many Nerdook games, this took some getting used to, but really, I was confused by its simplicity, but once I delved in a little, I found... Well, it's a Nerdook game. They're all fun to play, even after you win.
Ever since Bubble Tanks 2, I'm amazed at how ever entry makes the series less fun than the last. This one has tanks that take far too long to upgrade, tanks that invert the problem Arenas had (larger tanks were useless, now with FF, they are OP), and even on Low quality- a solution that deals with latency issues on most games here- The game chugs. Of course I see the real evolution of BT was to monetize it, and I wish you luck in making tons of money off of this thing. It just won't be any of mine.
Three stars for the gameplay, one star for the story, one for the secret upgrade, and minus one for the bugs. Crashing my browser is pretty impressive though.
25 could have done without the second set of spiked balls. The timing wasn't too hard to get down but the level of percision was not really meant for this engine. At all. This is otherwise a nice twist (sorry) on games like Shift. Not a bad game, all told.
I take back what I said: Drag and drop makes fine control nearly impossible. This, combined with the piercing unit's tendency to go "Derp derp derp" and sit around while being shot at BY AN ENEMY RIGHT IN FRONT OF IT makes the game more frustrating than it really needed to be.
