I guess the red boss gets defeated over time? As a strategy, you can try to keep yourself between the red agents and the boss(commander). This way, when they strike you, you will hit the boss and ricochet back, pushing them away.
This is true of the first boss, but much harder for the 2nd and 3rd.
But yeah, I was ok with the first boss 'accidentally die' over time as I didn't want everyone to die without having the chance to kill a boss and understand that this is 'how it's done'.
It could have something to do with my resolution, but the game screen is not completely shown and I cannot see the amount of blood I have accumulated.
I missed the information at the start so I'm not sure if these were explained:
How do you pass a wave? Does collecting blood or the number of houses affect the progression? Does the number of houses increase blood gain? How about improving the house?
Good luck with the ludum dare :)
Thanks for your quick reply :) Another issue I have noticed is the time addition when playing against the AI. It seems the player time decreases even during the turn of the AI. Also, the animations delay the response of the game, slowing the playing by some seconds. This may become important, so being able to turn off animations would be nice, if possible.
That's strange, I'll look into that. Yea, in the future I made add an option to turn off animation or speed them up greatly so they don't get in the way of the gameplay.
Nice looking game :) Still in my 15 minutes of playing I had some issues. I only tried to play three games so far. One ended after a connection failure. The second game ended after 5 seconds when I was checking out the pieces of my enemy. Also, the graphics are load quite slowly.
Keep up the good work :)
The server crashed once, I'm looking into what caused it. I assume that's the reason for your connection failure. If a player starts a game and doesn't move for over 20 seconds they will be given a loss, this is to not let players just never make their first move, I can try to make this a little longer though. Thanks!
Basically, we are guiding two scientists seemingly stuck in a 2-d space filled with strings, which need to be manipulated to traverse the levels. The characters we are guiding are symbolized by shapes. The blocky guy is the old and morose scientist while the ball represents the laid back, successful and foreign sounding scientist. Overall, it is a nice puzzle game that doesn't require much effort to play.
On a side note, the levels without the messages seem to load much faster.
The game has a nice polish to it, but there many aspects of it that are broken. Quests do not progress correctly, and prevent you from interacting with the game. Reloading the game before the first resource quest ends prevents you from entering dungeons. I don't know about the later stages of the game, but as it is, it is not fun to play.
This seems like a nice sensible soccer clone :) It has the same quirky controls and is simple and fun. I haven't looked at it carefully, but the management aspect seems well detailed. There are two things that made things slightly confusing for me. The dots on the map become hard to distinguish when running close to the throw in line. The other thing is about the substitutions; I couldn't figure out how to see the stats of the substitute or the player.
Anyways, nice game :)
A "sensible" advice for the newstarters: Having a good goalkeeper reduces the frustration. Obviously, fast runners and good shooters help. Far curved shots with a good shooter yield easy scores ;) Enjoy :)
