Am I the only one who thinks that this is a terrible game? The enemies jitter all over the place so I can barely hit them, they have near-perfect aim...its ridiculous. I mean, challenge is one thing, but it helps if the player has a chance...
I seem to comment on this a lot, but this is a game that truly HATES the player with a passion. There's almost nothing you get in the game that doesn't come with a HUGE downside. Active reload: great if you hit it, disastrous if you don't. Dash shield thing: perfect for when you dash (rarely), takes away all chance at evasion when you aren't. Even the freaking health kits hurt you if you DONT pick them up...how does that make any sense at all? This game has great potential, but it falls on its face as soon as the race starts.
This game is just way too busy. Left/right movement, jumping, aiming and firing with the mouse, swapping weapons with 1-7/q.e, reloading with r, and dashing with z/c. There's just too much going on and it often feels overwhelming. Plus some of the challenges are just ridiculous.
Would definitely say that the hard badge is not at all hard. Only took a few tries per track to get it right, and most of those were only because I made a big mistake, not because the times were hard to meet.
Would be great if it weren't for two things. 1) The kreds required to get the good weps (or indeed anything at all with gems) is lame. 2) This is probably the grindiest "toss" game I've ever played.
I really love that this game is half unbeatable unless you pay for stuff. Its not just optional...its overpowered stuff. Its basically being able to pay for badges.
The game is way grindy. There's never much clear instruction on how to get the bosses, you just kinda have to guess until you get it right. The monkey flies all over the place and is hard as hell to hit, I finally hit him and he took no damage, and for some reason, the hang glider keeps disappearing for no apparent reason. So 1/5
Finally got the "medium" badge *TWITCH*. For anyone having trouble, here are a few tips. Juggle using two paths, one long, one short so that they all go the short path, at the last moment juggle them back so that they take the long path. At the junction of the paths place a bash tower, place another at a U-turn on your long path. Build 4 anti-air in the center. Upgrading should be in the following priority: Bash such that they can take out most normal enemies in 2-3 hits max. If they can, then focus on upgrading your air towers evenly.
Great game, fun achievements, the levels are challenging but never ridiculous. It would be a full 5, but its so darn short, took like an hour to completely finish. I want MORE!!! Aw what the heck...5/5 anyway. Hope there's a third soonish.
I have a serious irritation with games that have "achievements" of some kind but don't tell you how to get them...I mean if its something story-related and you don't want spoilers, that's fine as long as its something that will come in the normal play of the game. But when you have to complete specific tasks without knowing what they are, its just annoying.
For the New York badge, does it mean beat the level in less than 1:15 (i.e. beat it before the clock reaches 0:45)? Or does it mean beat it before the clock reaches 1:15 because I've done the first like 20 times and still get no badge...
