Well darn, I really wanted to give this game 5/5, because its great. It's better than the first and adds a lot of fun challenges. The only thing keeping me from giving it the full 5 is the fact that the Star requirements are never defined in any way, making it guesswork as to what times are required, or in the case of the side missions, WHAT the stars are based on. I've tried time, kills, and everything you can think of, and still usually get nothing or just a bronze. So, sadly, 4/5.
This game is almost exactly like elevator defense (or whatever that similar game was called) in the good and the bad. Simply put, the games in this "series" are all wonderfully fun but are also all painfully short and usually easy as heck. I really wanna give this 4 or 5 stars but the fact that it's so easy and quick really drops the quality.
3/5 despite the awesomeness of the game.
While I'm not as "OMFG this game sucks" as some people this game definitely has some SERIOUS shortcomings. Change the difficulty to east and the aiming to auto-aim and this game because stupid easy. But at the same time, boring as hell. Half the skills you unlock are useless, the units move slower than frozen molasses, and (forgive the whinyness) WHY THE HELL CAN YOU SHOOT YOUR OWN PEOPLE?! The terrain on some levels PLUS hitting your own men, makes it near impossible to kill some guys. Secondly, the units do shit for damage. And of course, I played for like 6 hours, beat level 30, no badge. This game is completely lame and not worth the time, 1/5
One more thing too, wave 20 was lame as hell. Almost nothing but a bunch of soldiers, very few tanks, I eventually just started letting stuff through for my turrets to handle. Not even a final boss or anything.
A bit too easy, and definitely needs some badges. The game is really good but the low difficulty really takes away from the experience. I had all the main upgrades by wave 15, after that it got boring because the waves get to several minutes each. Its a good take on the shooter defense model, but just too easy, particularly at the end. 4/5
This game is just too busy. First of all, I don't see any reason why you have to hold the button down to fire. Its not like the weapon runs out of ammo or overheats. Then you have to steer your ragdoll, which is slow to respond at best, through dozens of deadly hazards, AND try to shoot down the enemy ships at the same time. It's not a terrible game, just a little too busy for my tastes. 3/5
Its ok for a TD game, but its really short, and never seriously challenging. Anyone figure out the badge for adding 5 members to your party? Anyway, 3/5
More to add to my previous comment: the fact that it maxes out at level 50 is seriously lame. Now I feel like I completely wasted several hours playing those modded levels. Re-rating at 2/5 for this major flaw. Game is too easy, and is WAY too long considering the difficulty.
Correction, I'm 5 levels away from the second boss (not counting skippable levels) and I'm level 46, have maxed out all the non-spell skills, and steamroll levels with no problems.
I gotta say, this game is lots of fun. Its a good formula for keeping an addict like me coming back to play more since I'm a total completist. However, I have to say that the game is disappointingly easy. It starts out fairly challenging. But you unlock hard modes of levels that aren't really that hard and give you tons of xp. Once I opened up blind mode, I catapulted myself up in levels earning more and more skills and opening more hard modes to catapult myself even further. I'm almost to the second boss and I can totally mutilate any level with no trouble. Even activating all hard modes at once on some levels is easy as heck. Still, its a great game 4/5
Fun TD game, a bit short. Also the Social Network "treasure" didn't award for me. I have all 5 types and have purchased all the additional units. Not sure if I'm missing something. Badges would be nice. 4/5
This is a pretty good defense game. The only qualm I have with it is that the length of the levels combined with the number of levels make this game feel REALLY long. I played for 45 minutes and only completed 3 levels. So, having to play for more than 3 hours, I can safely say that this WILL get too repetitive. So, in light of that, 3/5
Its a fun little game for sure. I had fun with it. The only complain I have (and its a minor one) is that there's no way to max out Magic Attack AND Faith since any task that ups one, drops the other. Again, its a minor complaint, and is only a problem if you're an OCD like me. Wish there was a little more of the game, but a lot of fun nonetheless. 4/5
I'll admit it's a huge step up from Ether Cannon, but its still got the same main problem: its a giant cluster-f***. I don't know what it is with flash game developers and particle effects but they really irritate me. Anyway, between the enemies, allies, all the lasers , and the millions of particle effects, its hard to see anything. Finally, it's too grindy, the only real way to win is to just sit on defense and protect your base until you grind out enough points to upgrade most of your ship and then go after the enemy. It takes a long time and is very repetitive. 3/5
This game is just bad. Its too much of a cluster-f***. There's enemies flying all over the place, you can't aim at anything. The only way through this game is to fly like hell and pray. I can't imagine shooting for 3000, because after 5 minutes in the game, my best was only 1000.
Pretty cool art style, but the game is just not fun. It's way too reminiscent of the good ol' adventure game genre where you're fighting against the developer's unique logic. There's often not really enough information provided to be able to make an intelligent decision about what to do next. 2/5 for the art.
