truly brilliant game. every level is unique in it's own way and all the solutions are intuitive. the only exceptions are the hexagons. i had to read the comments here three times to understand what i needed to do, after solving one puzzle by pure chance. i suggest to make an early level with 1, 1, 2. that could make it easier for the player to figure out.
(different phrasing of the solution, for those are as confused as me: the sum of the hexagons in each region needs to be equal. example region one: 1+4, region two: 2+4, region three: 5, empty regions are ok)
the cube is soo bright and white that it almost looks like a 2d surface and not a 3d object. please make it a bit darker and the shadows/corners more noticeable.
good update, gameplay feels fluid now. a minor annoyance are the rather long loading times before /after levels and the update screen.
night mode is an intersting idea for "hard mode". enemy special abilities are nicely varied and spice up the game. much better than the usual "more armor, more hp, faster".
overall a faithfull remake with noticeable improvements.
i personally think this page already has too many idle games. i would prefer an active game with upgrades. killing the villagers could be more and more automatic as the game goes no, cause dropping them into the pot gets old after a while. add powerful spells with longer cooldowns and boss waves instead. once you get defeated you can spend all life force gathered (incl. what you have spent) on permanent upgrades.
too many clicks, the gameplay in the original was a lot more fluid. also space is a bad choice for a key in a html game since keys are not captured. that means pressing space will scroll the screen in firefox.
I'd love to give this game a try, even though I fear it will be tainted by microtransactions. But it does not work in any of my browsers (FF, Chrome, IE).
Why do you force people to connect to your server? Kongregate has a perfectly working account system which can store game related data and achievments. Please give users the option to play without an account or any necessary connection to your server.
great game, my only regret is that I've only noticed that I can pick a different color palette after finishing the game. Shadowflash is right though, took me a bit to understand how the "progressbar" works and what my goal is.
please add an option to move cell contents to other similar cells without picking up & replacing the cell. shift clicking it would be an option. (or you just automatically distributed contents if the cell is full, but that would change gameplay a bit.)
I suggest adding different map layouts for defense mode. Maybe three difficulty each with their own map layout. // The Weapons seem a bit unbalanced to me. Fire Breath and Proton Launcher are by far the strongest, depending on the range you need. (I don't have the Tomato Cannon yet.) Amazing game, here are some suggestions and things I've noticed. First of all I agree with everything tfunny1 said. // Especially: Repetitive achievements are annoying. Achievements should be split between normal and hard mode. // Projectiles stay on the map if you restart. I farmed the first boss and managed to get two kills by attacking him with the flamethrower once and then restarting twice. Same for gems, enemy projectiles, ... // The temp boosts only work ~30% of the time for me, even on maps were they should work. And the keys 1-3 are not used in order for them (shield 2 - heal 1 - damage 3). // Sokoban shows the wrong title in the map and for the key (Trial of Air). // The map is black for me until I press a move button. // I have no clue how to solve sokoban 3, it seems impossible to me. Just got a bug: A green michelin man ran into and then after one hit out of the screen again to never return. After this I got no new enemies, no new waves.
some ideas for the coin pickup problem:
1) auto pick up all coins at the end of the wave
2) player speed levels also affect coin speed
3) no coins, direct cash gain. would also reduce clutter
Working on eliminating the unnecessary mobile stuff on PC now! UPDATE: double clicks are eliminated and Space works fine in the update ;)
