yet again, our hero is cursed with deciding to trek ON FOOT PUSHING HIS CAR all the way back to the previous garage, even if he's some 5 feet away from the next garage. Also, why is this game episodic as well? NotDoppler, are you taking the fvckn' mickey?
spotted an interesting discrepancy between this version and the original, up on Miniclip.com
You CAN build basic towers on top of advanced towers in this version, but not the original. Glitch, perhaps? Or retroactively making the game easier?
this game just feels a bit less intuitive than Solarmax 1. The slider is interesting, but that just makes the gameplay a bit fiddly, and the AI only ever responds by sending 100% of their forces to an unguarded planet. This means playing the game is a bit like a tug-of-war. I much preferred the original mechanic of just clicking multiple times to send some ships over to a planet.
This game is pretty beautiful. The whole "you are your own worst enemy" ethos is pretty interestingly explored in this game. Bon Iver in the background helps the mood, too.
pretty boring, really. None of the excitement of the Trials series, boring background music, pretty poor sound effects and stilted level design make for a mediocre experience at best.
In reality, I came here because I was bored and couldn't think of anything else to type in, so I played this game. It's mildly entertaining, but the game doesn't present you with a "You Win!" or "Play Again?" screen, which is something that needs to be fixed in later issues.
who else thinks that the "achieving the impossible" badge should be ranked Hard and the "around the world in 18 days" badge should be ranked Impossible? Maybe it's all those people cheating
my issue is with the steep difficulty curve. Once you face Swordwrath again, the game is truly punishing. This could be easily rectified with more upgrade points between fights, say 3. Still fun. Also, a skirmish mode would've been nice, but I still prefer this over the sequel, because the sequel is basically every RTS ever
