Beat the game easily with: 1)Fighter 2)Wizard 3)Cleric 4)Skeleton 5)Knight 6)Robed Man. The Fighter can fast-kill the smaller creatures, while the spell-trained Cleric helps the Wizard in dealing massive Fireball damages(40~90) against (sub-)bosses. The Knight (from quest) and Robed Man (captured as a 20 strength) are melee, and if you didn't get a Skeleton Summon Scroll, just use Fighters instead. Notes: unit levelling (in Guild Advancement Room) increases Fireball output; Training doesn't work on non-hired units.
The Fighter excels in melee, the Wizard in spells, the Cleric in scrolls (and unlocking dungeons). I recommend starting the game with a high Strength/HP Fighter, add the Troll henchman once you see him, then later add Wizard&Cleric. Skeleton summons (and Troll) may prove to be nice placeholders until you can trap creatures with more prowess. There's a [Zoom Map] option in Party Info, use it. Save Gold for Intelligence Training so your Cleric can use Scrolls (recovered from loot)!
Getting a 100% on floor discovery ánd enemies defeated will gain you a full recovery option to use next level, which doesn't deduct from rating when used (unlike the other restore portals). [+] for others to see.
Nice take on Stratego. I did expect to see race attributed perks. As it is currently, races only have different ship images and do not play any different? Concluding that single player missions are 'roughly' the same mission 30 times over. Not really criticism, just an observation. ^^
Store seems to load slow, you could reduce that by loading sections upon user request, instead of loading it whole. Especially if you only use store to redeem gifts.
Hi X4MHD: we will look into your suggestion. Thank you for your feedback!
2/16 update: We've just made an update to the game to and would like to find out if you're experiencing better load times.
Very nice game so far! I did find a bug: after you are 'out of moves' and purchase a '1 more click' for 15 silver, you can't use it (unless this was intended).
No mute (music mute isn't the same as sound effects mute), no in-game quality settings, slow game progression, fast difficulty ramping. The mini-map should show position of turrets. With every evolution you should be able to re-do your upgrades.
Thanks for your feedback! Sound effect mute and music mute are exist. Try clicking on the sound button twice. Other feedbacks are also great and we'll take into consideration!
There are always the immature that troll and seek chaos, however there are also the paladins that save the day. If you do play this game, you'll find yourself in a world open to your own enthusiastic efforts.
I was wondering when Nerdook would publish a new game. And then here it is, a work of art I enjoyed playing and may play again in the near future for lulz sakes (though I think that may be because of that super music ^^).
What would a tower defense look like if you combined the efforts from 'Protector', 'DTD' and 'Kingdom Rush'? A fantasy-set, evil-vanquishing hero-tower defense maze with RPG elements. And we call it Fiery Tale (parody to Fairy Tail).
I don't know what all these people are complaining about. The upgrades are properly valued, the graphics are okay, good lag reducing options, lots of space for creative 'tower' placement, decent 'tower' characteristics, no odd difficulty ramping, decent music albeit not original. This game does what other games in this genre usually lack: playability. Though, because it is vanilla, the 're-playability' value is lower. So, 3.2/5 for good effort.
''This game imitates real life battles'' - Not really: knights were a scarce phenomenon and had customized battle armors, no one was alike. They placed themselves in key positions while their footmen and archers supported in formations, so you typically wouldn't see an expensive unit (knight and sovereign) waste their life storming at the castle gate where they could be pummeled by rocks, hot tar and arrows. You could perhaps say its a 'simplified take on real life battles'.
For people wanting a more in-depth gaming experience surrounding this subject, you can now also play Naviage, which is multiplayer. After you finish playing this excellent, slightly exaggerated game, of course.
''Wang, protect the ship!'' and then you get to control a ship that shoots every ~5 secs with weapons that do not kill a whole enemy but only parts and there seems to be an unlimited amount of enemies coming from nowhere specific. Not only that, but the ship you're defending shoots in, what seems to be, random directions. There are no visual meters about your gear in-battle, vague mission descriptions. And why am I purchasing parts for my own ship if I can't use it (Wang mission)?
Nice, but fiddling with elevator shafts costs too much money and its the only thing they always keep complaining about. (no wonder since it takes days to get anywhere)
The only feature I miss is a log that lists what cards were gained that day, so you can determine faster whether you can sell for extra cash or not. Its kind of a remember-and-search fest right now.
