So, I just landed my boat on shore.... and now can't get back to it. Completely stuck. Great concept of the game, and other than the obvious balance issues others have mentioned, please focus on debugging. Thanks.
Line of Sight aim was not working vs the boss. Specifically, he'd throw up pillar, and I'd shoot it down. Nothing in-between me and the pillar. BUT if there was a zombie behind it, it would target the zombie rather than the pillar. With how fast they spawn, means I can never target the pillar....
I really enjoy the game. One thing that gets me though is that your Mothership Progress is not saved. I had it down to 1 to go and saved the game (I was waiting for a level for a big upgrade before calling her in). Then, accidentally clicked off the page and it took me somewhere else... came back, and 1500 to go.... :'(
Whaaaat? The game has offline mode? That makes a lot more sense.
Nothing happening for me offline - no "no text" in options screen. Says "version 1.0". Google Chrome - latest version, Windows 7.
General Concept is fun. A few things:
1) It would be cool if during the 3-2-1 countdown you could already start giving orders. 2) Obstacle bushes don't stand out well vs the grass, would be nicer if they were more distinct. 3) More levels with problem solving rather than simply reflexes. 4) Think about different terrain having different speed effects to: Water = 1/3 speed, road = 1.25, etc. Would add a fun element. Good start!
Dunno why people are complaining about the "quick fingers" aspect. I hardly found a need for anything other than a bit of timing. Only complaint is that the puzzles didn't really get any harder as the levels went on, some of them I was able to beat with only 1 or 2 minions when it gave me space for 3-4.
Very fun, but too easy in my opinion. The challenge "use no spells, only 2 plants, no power wells" is actually the easiest way to win and dominate the game.
Great game, love it. Bug though: I cannot rest anymore. Didn't need it much in the first few levels, so I don't know when it stopped working, but as of 4-1 can't use it anymore.
@ RaggedGlory- good reason, meaning that you agree with me? Or good reason, that the people downvoting 90% of the comments have a good reason to be doing so?
@heroekrem:: The reason the comments get downvoted is because most things people say have either already been addressed by the developer in the updates, or their questions are answered in the forums. That being said, this IS indeed the most negative comment board I've ever seen in all my years of Kongregate.
I know you're working on new UI - but if it's not already happening, with it PLEASE have a way of distinguishing between upgrades costing angels and upgrades costing dollars. It feels so wasteful spending those precious seconds after a reset scrolling around to find my starting angel upgrades :)
Question: the 10% off purchase costs from the AI Managers: Is this before or after the percent modifier? Makes a huge difference on if it's worth it for me.
also, a "Buy x(custom amount)" button would be great. A lot of times I want to be able to see which will cost more, the 40 of X needed for the next upgrade, or 20 of Y - and since I suck at logarithmic math, a cheat for that would be wonderful! Great game!
I'd like a way to turn off a purchased manager temporarily - just to satisfy my curiosity as to how much my lemonade stand is actually making me. (I know that there's an angel manager upgrade to see that, but tis still way out of my league).
It may be balanced later on (I've only been playing a few hours), but at least in the beginning dexterity is totally underpowered. I gave x2 modifier worth of it to my champ, and I have seen him dodge maybe twice?
Interesting start, and pretty decent graphics I wuold say. However, gameplay mechanics make it so you can't play more than a minute or so. Looking forward to what it's like when you work on it more.
Try it now. I had a silent exception happening to first time players for some reason We think is fixed. See if it says 1.0a.
