I agree with Keith075 and StephenBB81, at least on some points. The game is actually fairly decent, aside from the buggy HP bars, and a few other things. I do like the idea of the towers taking damage, it adds another lvl of strategy. The only things that bother me are that there is no time at the start of lvl to place your towers, there needs to be "Begin Battle" or w/e button added. It would also be nice if there were more actual upgrades besides the 3. Lastly animations could be a little better to make things clearer, as far as I can tell, my sandcastle turrets and all it's upgrades have no animation for attacking (or sounds for that matter), how do I know it's doing anything?
I don't think the Heroes should be free, but at the very least purchasable with Kreds, or like the first game, with a small fee. It's ridiculous that they aren't.
No premium Content? Again Flash users getting slapped in the face, this company sure doesn't know how to treat it's fans well. I must say I am actually happy this game doesn't even have a million plays yet. It's what they get for doing things the way they did it.
@mikeliterus That strategy only works for the earlier stages, and beating the later stages with little to no multipliers set. Eventually the dmg output on the bloodbound is not enough. What you want to do is eventually set your skills up to build a good mana farm. What you want is either O-L-C or O-L-Y gems in a trap at the entrance of a map where the creeps enter. First you will need an 8 amped tower for defense while earning the required mana to build said mana farm (which is the trap). I prefer using O-L-C for trap and O-L-Y for the tower myself. With this setup, around lvl 50-ish your mana farm should start earning decent mana and the gem in the trap should be around lvl 8-10. Eventually you will be earning literally millions of mana a second. Be sure to set the Max Mana Pool skill to auto cast. I gave a really poor description of how to do it, and I suggest looking up vids on Youtube about it or reading the Forums here on Kong like I did.
I am sorry, but this game is really stupid. No sense of control what so ever. There is all these upgrades but you can't buy them cause you make 0.00$ your first 8 launches, how is this beneficial? Then for whatever reason you make 1.50$ cause your stupid hedgehog finally decides to move an inch to the left, and grab a coin (or whatever it is) that is barely visible. The Hedgehog then decides it's a great idea to spin around in circles like an idiot, pressing the arrow keys does nothing. Everything about this is the opposite of fun, which is not what a game should be. It's a shame this was given badges, as I won't be getting them. 1/5
REGARDING THE GLITCH IMPORTANT: In case anyone hasn't noticed the glitch isn't that in depth. It works on every weapon as far as I can tell, and all it requires to activate is simply HOLDING THE MOUSE BUTTON DOWN and pressing SPACE, this will net you 99 ammo on your current weapon and secondary weapon (the ammo is shared i think). Sorry for the caps, I just wanted to make sure people actually read this comment, please + to keep this alive if you found it helpful.
I agree with some of what ZarkoR1 said, but I strongly disagree about changing the 'play a map 3 times for all stars' thing. I enjoyed it, and it allows me to keep playing a game I like for a longer period of time. This is a great game and all it needs is some balancing, not changing of how it already is. Changing it would just cater to people who are here to play a new game, not TD lovers such as myself. Thoroughly enjoyed myself and I rate this a 5/5 as I would greatly love to see some new badges for a TD game to earn.
Getting so sick of game developers developing games in English with butchered grammar all over the place. If you can't grasp English properly don't develop games in that language, simple as that. When you get to the first screen after being prompted to start your first battle, and you can select a bunch of options, the explanation makes absolutely no sense. I may as well be reading Chinese. "You are free clicking anything, but you should click 50% below, 100% on army and then end with attack" Hmmm ok, that's great and all but why am I doing that, and it should say '50% for Apply all Resources to' not 'below', also what am I applying all resources to? 1/5
For the love of all things good! This is ridiculous. With all the upgrades I can't get either the medium or hard badges. This game is so frustratingly unbalanced. I literally slowed down in speed when going down a slope. How does this make sense? Tortoise262 is completely right, you have basically no control on how far your cart goes. It seems to be purely based off of luck. What makes it worse is I would like to quit and come back later to finish, but OH YEAH, there is no way to save. Awesome.
Wow, very pathetic, that a game developer who has a game with 7 million plays, given badges on Kong, and rated highly can't be bothered to give us a save feature. I will finish to get the badges, but after that I will never be touching this game again, and my rating is now changing from 3/5 to 1/5 I don't care how short the game is, a save feature is necessary. It bothers me that people who know how to make games, do a poor job of it.
Wow, where to begin. This game is awesome first of all. Loved everything about it, only thing I think it needs is a speed up button, and perhaps more levels. It was also a tad bit too easy, as others mentioned, by stage six, with the right upgrades purchased you can almost just sit there once your defense is up (typing this while lvl 6 finishes). Great game otherwise 5/5 in the hopes of an update or perhaps a sequel :)
Well World 9 is just trying my patience....tried it at least 10 times now, and the best I can get is silver. I just need that one last Gold Medal for the hard badge, I will keep on trying until I get it!
The only thing I don't like about any of the Gemcraft games is being limited to certain gem types on levels. Other than that it's a great game, and so far this is my favorite in the series. I love how everything is way more user friendly, no more tedious gem combining, no more hoping for the right gem when creating them, it's amazing. Story is fantastic, visuals are astounding, and the background music/sound is just so perfectly eerie. Everything fits so well together, it's completely beyond me how 'The King's League' is third highest rated Strategy and Defense game and this is not.
