What a bizarre game. Also, kind of tired of puzzle and physics game for the BotD. Looking forward to something different tomorrow hopefully. Anyways, the game is good, the whole incorporation of words into the game helps to differentiate itself from other similar games, but only so much. To me it's just another silly puzzle game. There's tons of other games just like this on Kong, though I suppose some people think the same of TD games. As for rating, I give it a 3/5
In response to caryno's comment about not starting a new game so you can spend that money. You can actually start a new game, just make sure you do not save. Also, you can keep doing the last lvl over again for more money before moving onto the next campaign. This is rly handy for maxing out spells early on.
For anyone wondering what a couple good Gem combinations are, Red + Blue = Poison, White + Yellow + Red = Steal Cash. Both are quite handy. Got gold medals on the first 2 stages with them, allowing for 4 extra skill points per stage. This is quite handy for helping with the later levels.
Good game and fun to play, but there desperately needs to be a 5x-8x speed up button (I think 10X would be too fast), that and Skill points are a bit hard to come by. Either you need to gain more or skills should cost less. The variety of upgrades is also pretty pitiful. Tower variety is very small as well. The element system is a nice idea, but ends up being more frustrating in the end. The accessories was a nice touch, but more equip slots would have beeen nice, perhaps unlock a second slot at tower lvl 5 or something? Other than those things it's a pretty decent game and I rate it 3/5
Pretty good game, as far as this genre and style goes. Some pretty unique and interesting level designs. Just not my cup of tea though. I'm not rating because I would only rate it 2/5 since it's not rly fun for me, but as far as quality of the game goes it deserves a better rating than that, so no rating at all is better than 2 (I am weird and don't like to mess my recommendations up)
@Ragnaroyal In order to summon Lumineux, you need to summon at least 20 units first, and have them be killed. This makes them the 20 'sacrifices' needed to summon him. Then go to the command troops panel and click on the summon button, wait roughly 1-3 minutes and he will be summoned, dealing massive damage to all enemies on screen.
Also forgot to mention that the mine should produce more stone, or battles should award more. Almost every unit costs stone, and I almost always have more Crystal than stone. Maybe make some of the units require only Gold and Crystal to build rather than all 3?
Very good game, have not played one in a while, where I was actually able to get all the achievements in nearly one sitting. Loved the city building and everything else about it, only thing I would have liked differently was if the 'World Map' was accessible to the player, and we could go back and select older missions for money and exp, as opposed to not being able to beat a a lvl and getting a small amount of exp and gold from ddying and simply trying the stage over. This was also a problem when I built two buildings in one turn in the earlier stages of play, as it left me with no gold for building units during battle. Other than that the game is fantastic and a 5/5 from me.
Great game and good concept, but same problem I have with most Flash Platrformers, I just find them to be to difficult. The shadow thing is a real piss off at night when you can beat it and lose everything, especially on the first night.
Very good game. Well executed and designed. Likable characters and a decent and humorous story. Nice upgrade system, and fun combat. Only thing I am disliking so far is the levels seem a bit too big for my tastes. 4/5, which is saying a lot for me, cause I am not usually a platformer/side-scrolling kind of guy.
I don't see the fun in a game where all you do is run around aimlessly with no sense of direction. Every bubble looks the exact same, with 4 other bubbles surrounding it, in a seemingly endless outward direction. That's not confusing in the slightest....
The comments are spot on about this game. Too short of levels. It's over before you know it, wheres the fun in a TD game when you have barely a 'defence' at all. I also didn't like the one skill point per stage option, it limits you as opposed to having a leveling and exp system. The skills are also pretty useless, faster walking speed? There's another failure, why am I walking at all? This only provides for awkward controls, running all over the place trying to build towers out of trees, all the while collecting the coins and gems that drop. A useful skill would have been increased starting gold. Allowing me to get better defences set up beforehand. 2/5 and would be a 3 if the stages were longer and the walking was removed.
Dec. 09, 2011 Badge Guide: Day 1 - Max out Trans+Engine+Tires and spend the rest on fuel. Hold down the Only take your foot off the accelerator if you're going to be off the ground for more than about half a second. Try and keep your wheels parallel to the ground. You should get around 730 ft. Day 2 - Max out fuel, get the autogun and as much ammunition as you can afford. Do the same as before. When you reach the final hill, it's broken into three slopes. You should be able to get part way up the third. If not, restart and try again. Day 3 - Put everything into Boost. Do the same as the previous day, and when you hit the the third slope of the hill, hold boost and fly over the barrels. Don't bother voting up, just repost. Credit for this goes to razzfallow, this is how I got the hard badge.
Wow the lag alone makes me not want to play. That on top of no directions on what to do or how to begin or start the mission. Good music and seems like a decent game, but lag, hefty price tag on the full version and lack of directions is a huge downfall. 2/5
I just cannot, no matter how hard I try or want, to like this game. Everything about it from the preset Tower placing (only being able to place certain towers in certain areas) to the low amount of exp obtained when doing a mission over again. Then there is the Ninjas, what can even be said about them? They are nothing but a giant headache, and only way to defeat them is with meteor. Sorry but I want to play a Tower Defence game where my TOWERS kill stuff, including the big baddies, and not having to rely 100% on my spell for bosses. Just seems stupid to me. Then there's the problem with towers gaining exp. Unless you always place your first towers near your cave, they do not lvl up until the later waves, which can be problematic, weak towers are not good for protecting the cave. Cursed Treasure 2 is by far superior imo. And yes, I did play this game first.
Wow, I love this game but the Hard badge is completely stupid. I have Expert on 34 missions, tried countless times now on each of the remaining 6 stages, with the bomb tactic and without and to no avail. Kong did this on purpose and it's rather lame, and frustrating. I can now see why others are extremely pissed off, and with good reason, though I think Kong and the dev are equally to blame, the dev for making it impossible to expert higher levels without the bomb tactic and Kong for making it 35 and not 30 missions.
Don't see what everyone is all up in arms about over this game. Personally I enjoyed the repetitiveness of it. I hate tower defence games where your finished the map before you get around to using the highest upgrades of your towers and getting up a really awesome defence set up, this game allows you to do that. Another thing I liked was the amount of skills, and being able to replay old maps for skill points, although a skill for an increase in skill points would have been nice, as the amount you gain per lvl could do with being just slightly higher. A bigger variety of towers would also have been nice. Otherwise, it's a solid TD game worth playing and I give it a 5/5. If anyone thinks these badges are tedious and boring, then you have obviously not played New Star Soccer of Paladog....
