Lovely little game. A bit of a mystery why there's no mystery. How did she know she was in "26"? She can't read the sign over the cage. A little shock and awe was missing here.
So, awards don't actually give any reward... there is no distinction between beating a level with full lives vs. only one life left... and every level has to be done three times with virtually no variation between easy and hard?
Okay, I finished the game. Beat the Magma boss on the first try, and my monkey didn't have any top level upgrades. Just level six dart, boomerang, and bomb. LOVED the artwork and the overall creativity. Bullet Hell where you can't die - great concept. Not too much replay value though, since I was able to beat it with a really low-level monkey.
Ha ha ha, yep, I had several thousand cash... bought a 450 cost upgrade, didn't get the upgrade, and had my cash set to zero. The gameplay is incredible fun, and the balloon sculptures are priceless artwork, but the bugs are still at the overwhelming stage. Can't wait until this is fixed.
Every time I open the upgrade screen to buy an upgrade, when I click on the one I want, it re-sets my cash to zero and tells me I don't have enough. I can't buy a single upgrade - ever.
Okay, final notes. :) Found all the colors, and that Nitro car is insanely overpowered. You can bump, spin, crash, and generally put no effort into the race and still finish in ~50 seconds. You can overtake cars while spinning! Would love to see the player get crunched by cross-town traffic, which is currently not possible. Still no clue how to get a "turbo start" - I tried everything logically plausible to me.
More notes: Nice variety of tracks. Needs a "quit race" button. What's a "turbo start"? Apparently not starting with turbo, because that didn't get the award. Can't find 3 of the paint colors for the life of me - is that part of the game? A tad easy overall. Still, fun and has potential - I would like to see a little more difficulty and variety to track physics.
Oh hey, just wasted all my research on passive upgrades. Didn't realize they were for one level only. THEN I looked down in the comments at all the other complaints about the same issue. Dev, that's a problem.
Man, bummed out. I find the "rammer" levels totally impossible, and I can't progress beyond week 4 because of it. My car is so fast and strong, I whip by other cars... when I hit them, I just bounce off and they don't spin. I need some tips here, because I can't get more than 10-12 rams in each level. I have no clue how to beat these.
Wow, that aiming mechanic is very difficult and not very intuitive. The power bar is set where your eye doesn't go, so you can never really tell how much power you have, and there's no visual feedback on where you are actually aiming the arrow. Gotta say, that's going to make this a difficult game to enjoy.
