seriously... this is weak... amaturish... and even if it was fantastic, which it's not... don't post demos... I don't want to play the first three levels of your crappy game, then wait until you release the full version and play the same three crappy levels again... other than that... this exact game has been done like 1500 times by various people using various objects attached to cursors running through remarkably similar mazes... It's just as annoying as the carnival game where I have to keep a loop from touching the metal as I wind my way around the maze... the biggest difference, is that I don't get the consolation of a stuffed tiger after wasting my time on this rubbish.
nope... sorry dude... but this was simply not ready to be sumbitted yet. I really want this game to work well. It turns out that everything I draw turns out to be a circle (unless I get lucky)... and the physics make little sense. If I roll a ball down a NW to SE incline into a red ball at the base of it, there should be enough momentum in the moving ball to propel the red ball toward the right. Rather, it moves just a little bit and spins back left. nope... not getting it...
I'm with cjdurkin... My accomplishments show I've made it to level 45, I figured I'd finish the last couple the next day because I was getting tired. I log on today and I have to start back at lvl 24? That sucks!
I saw this in someone's favorites... I had originally gave it 3 stars... I'm going to bump it to 4... however, someone said tedious (or tried to) and they couldn't be more correct. I kept a ratio that gave me purple fire... at the highest I did it, it was 40/30/30... it burns for a long time and effectively killed EVERYTHING... so all I did was shoot the fire, load the fire, shoot the fire, load the fire, buy more fluid, shoot the fire, load the fire for 25 levels... I had both fire upgrades, the spike wall, and the reload upgrade as well as the first level upgrades on explosions and fumes and I'm making more money off the bad guys than I'm consuming by killing them... except for a giant at level 20(?) and some cat thing that dies REALLY easy I've not seen any new characters since like level 10 or something... the bad guys don't seem to be getting harder because I've kept the same ratio for over 5 levels and now it's getting boring.
I visited your "need help/click here" link and it took me to a message board with no help in it... I'm stuck in the same place... been clicking at random and trying to poor water on everything for 5 minutes...
I'm pretty sure I remember posting some pretty harsh comments on the earlier version of this game. This new version could be considered a 2 instead of 1.5 because their is 100% improvement in the quality of the game. A lot of people talk about how it's not a good clone or that other games like this are different, etc... don't listen to that because otherwise you're just copying what others did. I think you've balanced the game nicely since the first release and it's much, much more fun. Keep it up.
just to emphasize the point... I just took 395 men against 227. I won the country but now only have 42 men left (I started with 75% more soldiers and still suffered 56% more casualties). Because of the other NPCs hoarding men... my country with 42 guys is sitting beside a country with 148 men. Basically... I'm screwed. This must have been what it felt like to be a general in Vietnam.
yeah... this game got really lame, really quick... you get into a race with the computer to build armies and none of the computers will attack each other. The attacker is so disadvantaged because of the tie rule and the fact that the defender gets 3 dice too. The only way anyone can win is too attack but attacking is the least economical way to proceed through the game. Stategy means very, very little because even if I bash on one of the computers and bring him down to like 30, then the next guy over with 175 still won't attack him. So now I'm stuck trying to raise a worthwhile army to attack (you need about 4 times the number of guys in the defending country if you really to since a win) and I'm raking in only about 25% more guys. I think I should be able to mount a successful attack in about 100 turns, and that's just one country out of 13 I have left to conquer in Africa... 2/5 because you destroyed an already great game.
either I'm the most unlucky person in the world or the computer are rolling much larger dice than I am... I've been using an army that I continually replenish to 15 to take out a country with a standing army of no more than 6 and I've lost all of my men down to 1 ten times in a row... I've seriously spent 140 men trying to capture this european country and the enemy has only lost maybe 25.
that was perfect. fun, engaging, well drawn and animated. Great style, cute story. I'd give it 6/5 if I could. One of the best games I've seen in a while.
seriously... there's virtually no point in shooting at a block if it's just going to come back in a straight line and still hurt you. at some levels you find yourself going down a tunnel of 1's 0's and 2s? (not sure why there are twos if this is binary representative) and you shoot at a block to remove it only to have it trap you between corridors and hit you anyway... you might as well have just ran into it. Pointless...
excellent art, good in game graphics too. I like the story line. The premise would be great for a full-blown RPG actually. However, I found the controls/interface annoying as it was sometimes very difficult to click on the place where I needed to go to access objects like doors or whatever. Also, the linear only walking got old REALLY fast. Otherwise, good game.
This would be 5 stars easy is you added scoring, kill effects (like explosions), and power ups. I think someone earlier mentioned this... Great looking game!
I agree with the potential you have here. This has the makings of a fun and addictive game! However, it's currently neither one of those. The timer is quite fast, and I find it impossible to keep going for more than like 30 seconds of play. Do you even get more time for creating a string?
I found this game to be ultra annoying... I can finish only about 2 levels, and even then I find it impossible to have enough time to attempt a majority of the treasure before the time expires and the guys reach the end of the road. I played and replayed the game thinking that it was just me, but now I'm simply too frustrated with it to want to play it anymore. I typically like games like this. Please try to improve the timing problems and you'll have a nice game here.
