just can't make it to 100... closest I've come is 109... and I can't get the lvl 45 achievement :( best I can figure is that I have to roll the ball back toward me so that I can shoot the target directly, but I've not been able to find the sweet-spot to get that to happen yet
This is perfect... just like playing a major MMORPG except without all the wasted time doing boring character creation, reading crappy story lines, and interacting with all of those other people who are way to into their game.
not all of my magic remains permanent. I get to keep the fire spell but lose heal, water, etc., every time. To be honest, except for the heal spell, the drag-n-drop magic system leaves a LOT to be desired. It doesn't appear to be useful as a ranged weapon, it doesn't do any more damage than my sword, it's difficult to access (meaning by the time I drag it and drop it, I've just about killed the guy and no longer need to use it), and since it interrupts my melee it is only a hindrance to the defeat of the bad guys.
Deczter calling it "boring" was a severe understatement. I'm fine with simple quick games if there's at least SOMETHING worthwhile to it, like some decent art or a moral or something... this is just some crap that the author put together in order to learn the very raw basics of an IDE. Stop submitting your homework!
Very laggy on some levels/with some weapons... even with the quality turned down. Something happened that I died and I lost all my progress from the oasis back to the entrance to the forest. My gun, the chainsaw, and the big kaiser all level 5 lost... MAKE SURE YOU SAVE OFTEN because you never know when a bug will kill the entire game for you!... needless to say, I'm not going back through it... repost the game or ping me when you add an auto-save feature
Broken? I see a lot of people praising the game, but I'm confused... On level 1, I grab the green orb, walk to the right, grab the blue orb, walk to the right, take an elevator upward and when the screen darkens and comes back I'm right back at the beginning of level 1!!! ... I did this about 8 times and finally looked at the walkthrough... did the same thing it did again and I didn't get to the next level!
PatoLord... stop spamming the comments... now that we're past that... I agree with you... This is about 5th (no exaggeration) game that I've seen identical to this and it blows my mind that so many people rate these so highly every single time. Are you people playing all of these? If you didn't like Evony, or one of its many other incarnations, then you're not going to like this either. Just because it's set in ancient Rome instead of Midieval England, or some other fantasy kingdom doesn't actually change the game. It's not like it is suddenly going to magically become appealing.
I have some sort of bug or something where no matter what I do, I can't get more than 1 Energy... I had like 130 and then I unequpped that component that gives you 10 more and now I have only 1... can't do very much with 1 energy...
yeah... it was ok... I had rated it high initially, but it looks like the game completely lacks the ability to keep non-playing players interested... I'm at the level just before Mt. Kiljoy and it's obvious that on every level you're doing the exact same thing with a slightly different script and slightly different characters. I'm really glad that I didn't spend any money on this, because I would be paying for two things of no value, Kongregate badges and a poor game experience.
it puts the simple-mindedness of minesweeper together with the murder mystery drama of Clue!(r)... it has a lot of potential and actually has a perfectly nice interface, but it needs some work... specifically, the ability to mark non-clue squares (like mine-sweeper), maybe a permanently visible log file so you're not constantly scrolling over clues, some sort of reward system other than an arbitrary score (like a way to use the money you're collecting, or a savings goal at least), and some way to adjust difficulty (after you've a few times it becomes boring)
the towers are dumb... really dumb... their target choices make no sense at all and there's nothing that I've found that allows me to change how the targets are determined... other than that, it is a good game... I would've played longer and rated higher had i not lost due to the towers for some reason targeting the last enemies for an entire round while the first 8 or 9 just ran straight past my frost towers to the gate.
4 stars only because it is presented as a game and simply isn't. I agree with an earlier comment that says this should have just been a short video rather than a game, and in that case, it doesn't really have a place on Kong.
