lol, Frxstrem, If the “x2” *did* actually double the multiplier, it would be way too insane =/ The scores would be too high, and the magnitude differences between even small gaps in position would be insane. Maybe having “x2” on the things is a bit misleading, but as long as you can tell what it does, it doesn’t matter what is on it. I do really like this game… and alot of people have been complaining that it is easy, but that it just stupid… only games that can be completed can be easy… *or* if you could easily go on for *infinite* time, then it is easy. Apart from these cases, it is a matter of how quickly it get’s harder, and whether it is sudden or gradual. And I think that this game increases difficulty at a nice pace, and the changing directions of the lasers is a really nice idea 5/5
When I first managed to find the second bonus stage, I just thought "WHOA!". Must have taken alot of work to make it, because it is virtually a whole new game added to it =0. There is a pretty simple tactic to easily do the best possible on that stage =P but after being revamped a bit, I think it definately could be a good game on it's own. And at the mo, it's going to waste a bit anyways, seeing as though I doubt many people are getting to it =/
mmmm, not much of a game... it's either 1 or 2 choices, and it seems to be just random which one you are ment to choose, and they are hard enough areas to even find with your mouse =/ I just used tab, and it was stupid how small some of the clicking areas were
wow, I obviously didn't do well with the multipliers, because I got bigger time than anyone else on highscores, but only got 2nd lol, o well. The keyboard mode is a bit too sensitive I think!! No accelaration (excluding gravity) I think I'm right in saying. However, after a couple of goes I guess I got used to it, so I'm not guna complain =).
As SnowFlavoured says in the game description, the damage numbers are not random. There are in fact very few things that change during the boss fights, so just keep yer eye open ;) Don't take anything for granted of just being there to be pretty or anything.
if you struggle with the bosses, that doesn't mean they shoudl be taken out!! =0. If you die against a boss... you can just continue, it's not as if you have to do all the levels again =/ So it only take 1 run to know how to kill the bosses, and maybe another run to figure out exactly what's going on =P You obviously just need to try these things out that you said about whether you should build up combos or just go fast... A key thing though is to *observe*, while doing everything, to get to grips with exactly what it is that is happening when you do something. I do actually like the idea of that free play mode though =D.
I guess the whirlpool thing could make sense, seeing as though it's a game of a fish following arrow symbols xD. And thanks for clearing up the bubbles thing =).
Serj, a fairly big part of the game is figuring the stuff out for yourself (in my opinion at least), but there is never anything more to it than pressing the arrow keys, or spacebar when there is a symbol that isn't an arrow, and shift when you want to use a powerup =). I can't personally see how the instructions could be any more complete without giving away exactly how to do stages =/ maybe that's just me?
oooo I like this game =) reminds me of xatax... except without powerups easily getting completely insane xD. High score with one go, woo =) If I picked up plasma instead of flamethrower i probably would have survived longer =(. But there were too many enemies on the screen and bullets eeeeverywhere and my flamethrower couldn't reach anyone xD. Oooops, just realised I forgot to use the S bomb at all lol.
and on the whirlpool level you don't lose a life/die for getting the last symbol wrong. Hmmm, sorry about so many messages.... really need an edit thing
Not guna give it completely away... but it is to do with the timing of when you press that button ;). Watch very carefully what is happening, and try to see how anything could possibly fit.
