great game =) Mouse is obviously much easier than keyboard, and you adjusted the powerup frequency very well. +thank god the enemies don't speed up as quickly in this one =0 In the other one, they built up insane speeds that I found way too difficult to dodge =/. Doding hundreds on enemies by mere pixels is great fun!! =D The collision detection is perfect!! do you use formula of circles, or some overlap of pixels function, or some other way?
Not that much randomness on the second boss =/ just keep getting him when he changes his defense =P But yeah that's a fair point... I guess it does make that part nicer without having to worry about time =). Oooooo!! Gotta try the mechanical fish thing out... but maybe not *right* now lol. Thanks for the info. eep.. I don't like the sound of these evil ways =P. Is there guna be a "really really really fairly extremely hard mode"? lol. Oh yeah I forgot to say... when you're against the starfish, if you keep moving around in a circle fast, you can keep killing it again and again lol. It doesn't get any points, but it's funny to watch ^.^
Montany, the bosses aren't that long.. and seeing as though they are "bosses", they should be taking some time to kill compared to normal levels. Just be glad.. they aren't like penance from FFX, which takes at least 40 minutes to kill!! (or 40 minutes to die against in my case xD)
Nice game over buttons =D. Nooooo!!! It's hard enough already xD Well actually… Level 8 could be a bit shorter, because I can make it with about 8 seconds left without going mental on it. And I think level 10 can probs be given shorter time, because it's *much* more relaxed than the first boss, even with collecting all the potions (although you can just get them to build up mana, so I guess they don't really waste time). The times don't really need to be changed, but if your guna make any times shorter, then those are couple of suggestions for which ones to go for =P. Thanks for the repositioning on the last stage, helps alot =D. The bonuses are great btw! especially the last 2. And the last one is definitely the hardest =P I'm guessing I could get another 1000 points if I clear it... hmm… I get stuck at the bit with the one on the bottom with the wall (not to give anything away ;) ). I got close, but it has the better of me for now =P
completed hard without continues, yay! =D messed up on a couple of levels, but meh it'll do. That first boss becomes the hardest boss on hard I reckon lol. What Urchin suggested about different starting positions to not cover the symbols.... I think this would be nice on the bit with the octopus... because I found myself often covering the first symbol (usually when coming back to the bottom of the screen), and on hard mode you haven't really got time to wait for the fish to go transparent =/.
oh and also, if you run out of time on level 4 but have more than one life (so it restarts the round), the symbols in the 2 tubes don't change, and so you end up hitting the wrong ones =/
aaahhhh, hard mode is ace =D And freeeaakking hard!! =D except the timer neeeds to be fixed in round 4, because it becomes extremely hard to make it in time. I made it twice, but only due to the arrows being slightly in my favour.
good original concept =) completed wooo. except when it ways to roll up onto the platform and then do bomb jump to the next one... if you shoot the bomb straight down at the bomb jump part, it goes through the floor. Also, it is hard to get it to start rotating in the opposite direction to whichever way you are rotating at the time =/. 4/5
