Got 19:00 on survival, and held at 0% on floor 7 for 7 of those minutes. Spirit Blade, Quake, Angel of Death, Skeletons, Confusion, Soul Jar. They'd get 3-6% before my quake recharged, then I'd knock it down to 0% again.
I'm now down to 455. I can't figure out 24 in 43 moves like scottclowe got, the best I can find is 44. Here's my list, the unlisted are exactly gold: ( 3=14; 10=10; 13=24; 14=26; 15=18; 16=20; 17=25; 18=33; 20=23; 21=30; 22=18; 23=17; 24=44 )
For level 12, first get it down to 11 moves. At that point you're probably moving the top blue piece to the dead-end at the top right. Don't do that. Instead, move it down so it bumps the lower blue piece into position. These medals are all about chaining movements as much as you can :D
On the first level by the ending door I jumped to the left, up onto the crate because I'd seen an open spot in the wall and was searching for a hidden path. The screen went black when I hit the left wall (or possibly clipped my head on the ceiling corner) and it said I'd died.
If you can't jump diagonally, like me, try turning off numlock and using the number pad arrows for movement (8,4,6, and 2). Your keyboard may let you use them at the same time as Z.
I'd love a breakdown on stats, like estimated damage after strength, damage reduction, that sort of thing. It'd help me decide which items are better to keep.
Hard mode in 25: Don't bother with magic. Drop the point out of fireball after you beat the first level. Capture every building on each level before killing the enemy off. Prioritize experience until you get to the turtle, then you'll probably need to drop a couple points out into agility and speed. Don't bother with defense against the turtle, he'll one-shot your guys anyways. After you beat the turtle, go back to experience. There will be a few hard levels, depending on your civ, but you should be able to win without losing any levels or taking side paths.
Loving the shotgun with maxxed crit. Nearly every shot is a crit so I deal a consistent 500 or so damage, killing everything in one or maybe two shots.
Gun auto change is okay, but changing to guns you've already got if you walk over it again should go. Or guns you already have shouldn't drop, either way.
Mouseover the help icon in the upper right while you're in the air, the game pauses, but your fuel still recharges. Wait a bit, mouse onto the game, use your rocket, pause it again. Repeat.
Oh, it could use the 'get ready' screen after you die and reset. It resets fast and a turret hit me a couple times before I realized it was going againe
