I don't think the cost of upgrades should increase on items that you haven't upgraded. If I upgrade my beamer weapon, why should that increase the cost to upgrade my Energy Nova?
I have no idea what this game is about. Haven't even played it yet. I saw "A New Game by jmtb02" and that was all I needed to know. Everything you touch is gold, jmtb02 (whoever you are).
Very well-designed. I'd love to see a sequel that follows the Metroidvania formula even a little more, i.e. more weapons, bigger world, secret areas maybe? I dunno. You did a great job, and I hope to see more from you.
Very well done. Interesting mechanic, and you've implemented it well. The pop-in pop-out 2nd player option is interesting and, again, implemented well. Pretty to look at AND fun to play? How dare you?
SO much potential. More upgrades for the castle, more control over upgrades, more weapon choices, and ditto to most of the other suggestions that have been made. Zombie at the Gates 2 will be INCREDIBLY addicting. Please make it happen.
I think the game has a lot of potential, but the developer's disappointing responses to players' comments makes me think it will never get better than it is right now. The overarching attitude seems to be "It's fine as it is. You're all wrong." When 100% of the top comments are pointing out flaws, the game is not fine. Good effort, but be open and receptive to those who play your game.
I really love the direction the developer is going with this project. Would love to see it fleshed out into something more. Perhaps a Zelda-like adventure game where the skull has to rescue Princess Femur from the Sand Prince Smiley. Or a TCG where the two cards are a skull and a smiley. Shuffle, deal, whoever gets the skull wins (Oh the irony!), repeat. Seriously keep me posted on your upcoming projects. Very talented mind limited only by the technology of his medium.
Thank you for this lovely comment. I have spent plenty of time researching the ultimate goal of a game, and according to 3 brittish surveys of the magazine 'Time' in which approximately 10.000 people helped - I succeeded to find out that the ultimate goal should not be coins, but rather the opposite. Thank you for seeing this wisdom in which I've spent so many years in. I will keep you posted on my further success. Currently I'm researching the best way to gather happiness in a game. Yours sincerely - Fliptus
I don't know how, but I just blew an hour on this game. I almost quit after 2 minutes, but it kept sucking me in. Some basic improvements (which everyone else has already mentioned) and this would be an easy 5/5. As is, solid 4/5.
Yes it's like Balloon in a Wasteland, but I think it's only because this is an emerging genre and it does plenty of unique things to differentiate itself. And this is a quality game from the consistently polished graphics to the challenging yet possible difficulty curve. Excellent work.
I take notice of every single comment. I do not deny real bugs or disadvantages.
