What a fascinating concept! I love the idea, and the execution is nearly flawless! The music is great, too. My one and ONLY complaint is the screen flicker. 5/5
This game's minimalist art style paired with genuinely chilling soundtrack and compelling sub-story combine to make a game no one should miss. This will get a 5th star from me when you implement a "Find Different Ending" feature like everyone is talking about.
Even better than the first, though I think there's still some untapped potential in the series. I would love this to become a slightly more fleshed-out experience, maybe with some upgrades or different "species" a la phage wars. 5/5 for a very compelling game mechanic.
I think too many game developers underestimate how cathartic it can be to use lasers to blow up a village full of innocent robots. Kudos to you, my friend.
Wow. This could easily be adapted into a full-scale console or PC game. The artwork is brilliantly minimalistic, the gameplay is varied and solid, the challenge is real but not frustrating. Unlocks, gunfire, explosions, severed limbs... this game has everything I need! 5/5
PLEASE continue development on this game. It's beautiful and fun, just incomplete. Honestly the graphics were more than I'd dared hope for. The gameplay is pretty solid, but it needs some tweaks. 1) Some sort of help to know how & where to buy low/sell high would make trading a viable profession. 2) A "Reputation Meter" could help further draw a line between trader & scallywag. Maybe ships only attack on site if your reputation is below a certain point. 3)Just like everyone said, quests. 4) TAKE THE iPHONE AD OFF so you can see how much money you have. 5) Make it so upgrades actually change the look of your ship in a noticeable way. Also I wasn't sure if you get any money for trading in your ship, but it can be assumed you're not just sinking it off the coast. Show how much trade-in value I get out of my ship (assuming this isn't already in place. I couldn't see it but I'm also kind of dense.) PLEASE make this into the amazing game it could be!
Interesting, but I agree that the hit boxes need some work. Also, a little more graphical polish and some level/mechanical variety and it could be great! A good idea that just needs more work.
I could see this fleshed out into a fully-fledged edutainment piece for kids. As an adult, it lost my interest rather quickly, but based on the quality of the actual game (rather than my interest in it) I'd give it a 4/5.
Not normally the type of thing I'd be into, but it's got polish and a certain draw I can't describe. Kudos, even though your game won't be appreciated here.
