Is 8 the cap of all stats like it indicates in the inventory? I have +9 in loot & magnet. Is that going to waste, or is it just a visual cap? I'm asking since there's no warning and it's hard to tell if there's an effect with another +1 loot.

Beats final boss and at the same time I get killed before the ship is destroyed and still gets in-game medal while the game says 99%. XD

Heh, beat boss 3 the first time without getting hit, then promptly exploded after he transformed because I was trying to get my money.

One little glitch. If you start the game but dont press the Ok, then press Spacebar and press it again, the controls menu will still be there while you play.

Slickly programmed, and quite compelling, which I find rather surprising considering it's a shoot'em up which considers the act of actually shooting anything to be completely incidental.

I have a problem: why is it that the normal enemies are about 100 times more dangerous than the actual boss fights? To me the bosses go down like pansies even without upgrades.

this is a really fun game. all you need is a mouse and a steady hand. always get money upgrade first, that really helps. speed upgrade is not really helpful as a really fast ship is hard to control in the mid of bullet storm. i usually keep my ship speed at 4 or 5.

For those of you trying to get the harder badges, an easy way to get upgrades fast is to start off with upgrades that increase your loot and then later switch them off for attack and fire rate when you don't need/want so much loot.

@Greenhockey: Yes you can mute the sound. Just drag the volume left of the lowest setting. Although I wouldn't reccomend it with a nice soundtrack like this one.

To get free gold from Lachhhh the Pirate click off the screen and wait for the guy to say "Aight" (He will pop up if you wait a few seconds)

Assuming you have maxed out start money: Buy Lv 2 and 3 ship, buy Lv 4 and Lv 3 chest to max out loot and magnet (8), then buy Lv 4 Weapon. Next save up for Lv 4 ship which you should be able to buy in Stage 2. Don't miss the treasure chests. Before Stage 2 boss, buy Lv 3 Sail, you'll need it. With this setup you should be close to 5k before Stage 3 boss. If you are, buy Lv 5 ship right away and try beating the boss with this setup. If you do, you should be able to buy all Lv 4 items.

You should have health indicators similar to the treasure one. It's kinda frustrating seeing a health drop that was off screen disappear as soon as I discover it.

The hard badge is just grinding, not really a challenge. I wish there was score counter so you would know when to stop.

during the first half of the final boss i thought he was done for good so i came closer to him as he was blowing up (so i thought) to collect the money that would eventually apper and when he transformed and killed me...FML

Excellent game, very well-crafted, and very intuitive. The game's shortness and low difficulty stood out, the little upgrade/equipment system was unique, and the link between progress and starting funds was nice. This game manages to be very enjoyable despite the simplicity and repetitive nature. Anyway, 5/5.

For free medal and Gold, click outside the game and wait for the photo to reach the top, it'll talk to you, and when you leave the "Lost Focus" Screen you'll have the medal.

Did anyone else besides me stand close to ghost ship whiles he is about to self-destruct ,but instead of the self-destruct part he comes back alive and shoots you. You not knowing and die in the process, because it was probably your last freaking life. That ghost the biggest troll ever.

Got to the *last boss* and once I defeated him with one life left I pulled my ship alongside to catch the loot... bad decision on my part.

Your points are determined by the amount of money you have at the end. When you have enough starting cash, buy the +4 Loot, +4 Magnet. That should make it easier to earn up enough for the two pirate flags. This should give you enough time to get the firepower upgrade before facing the final boss. I used the last upgrade slot on the Fire Rate bonus.

Shipmate 1: Cap'n, We already have 3 flags on the ship, do we really need another one?
Cap'n: Yes. Clearly this increases the performance of our ship more so than actual weapons.

Interesting. A ship can fire massive cannonballs the same size as itself 3 times a second. Is something not plausible about that?

how come as you damage the bosses rather than being weakened and damaged they suddenly get masses of ammo and power from nowhere??? It's like i chop a guy's arm off and he grows back two and overpowers me with his three arms.

Before using this upgrade, as of I think would be beneficial, you should have the following: rank at max level and all medals
(You should have $3,615)
1) Start by upgrading your ship twice
2) Buy level 4 weapon and level 4 loot
5) Kill 1st boss
6) Get $2,000 and buy lv.4 flag (Get the amount before 2nd boss)

7) Kill 2nd boss
8) Get $2,000 again (will be faster and you will get over the amount before final boss)
9) Upgrade your ship again
10) Get $1,000, buy lv.3 flag
11) You should be on the final boss
12) After killing final boss, you should have over $5,000, if not, get it then upgrade ship to max level
13) What I did was buy level 2 flag to get money, but you can do whatever from here. If you buy all level 5 upgrades, you will have 7/8 marks overall. If you go with my upgrades, you will get: weapon 7/8, fire rate 5/8, speed 3/8, loot 8/8, magnet 8/8 (technically 10/8). I found this very helpful because I had $29,000 (would've had more though). Hope this helps everyone out.

your cash will be converted into points when you die. as soon as you gained 30k cash you will have 30k points (excluding bonuses). with bonus included you will need 20k-25k cash for the hard badge.
