everyone is just complaining about the "not one unique solution" thing wtf grow the fck up. I completely agree with lacura (who has been voted down by said noobs). Also: lylebot fails at trying to sound smart
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
there doesn`t need to be a unique solution. The problems with the multi solutions only apply to small parts of the puzzle and if you spend enough time with the game it gets easier to recognize the situations in which they occur. I think the game is more challenging with the multi configurations

Quite fun, despite the times where more than one solution would work. Being able to play a practically unlimited number of games, even 32x32 (which would be a huge pain to verify manually) certainly makes it all worth it, in my opinion.

How do they calculate the score ? The all-time best high score at 32x32 Insane is 233. When im done with a puzzle all I get to know is how much time I've used.

typodestoyer9001: your life (and eyesight) must be pretty miserable for you to spend 13 min looking for a broken chain...
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Please highlight the broken chain (the smaller one). I wasted 13 minutes trying to find the chain. Your Hashi high score should not be downed because of bad eyesight. It is a puzzle game, not a puzzling game.

I'd like to see some puzzle sizes larger than 32x32. I'm now at a point where the biggest puzzle is not a challenge...

games broken D: i was trying to find out what i did wrong because 2 spots were still white so i used check and it told me i had no errors

If there's no unique solution, how can you consistently apply any strategy? Whenever I get stuck, there's the nagging question of whether it's because I haven't searched deeply enough, or just because there are multiple actions that will work equally well. It kills the enjoyment for me.

I wouldn't be surprised if people had killed themselves due to frustration from the 32x32 puzzles. It really does deserve the name insane.

@cbowen4
Yes, Hashi is supposed to only have one solution, but I would rather have unlimited Hashi in one place for free than having to buy loads of puzzle books or download individual puzzles from other sites. I give it a 5/5

Add a timer pause that hides the puzzle. Save the game to flash storage every so often (perhaps after each move, if it's been longer than 30 seconds or 3 since the most recent save, save again?), so you can pick up where you left off if you accidentally close it (or browser crashes) mid-game. Also, the idea about highlighting island chains is interesting, but please make it optional. Some would feel it cheapens the game.

i think that muddisguise must be doing something odd, i mean how do you even click all of the links of trivial in 4 seconds?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Good version of game. Agree with sgtdroopy's suggestions. Also, prefer boards to have single solution, these frequently have multiple correct configurations.

There also needs to be a way to see what islands are connected beyond simply trying to follow the bridges with your eye.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The "continuous chain" rule is misleading. For example:
2--3--4--3--2
There are 4 bridges *in a chain* there, yet none of those nodes will be green.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
There is a bug with the checking system. If there is more than one solution to a puzzle it marks one of the solutions as incorrect.

This game is awesome! Definitely not for the intellectually challenged. If you have decent brain power, you'll like this game.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
It says "one continuous chain" in the rules, so separate chains may green all the nodes, but isn't a solution. A popup reminding you of that rule might be nice in the earlier screens (or coloured lines like keynup suggested).
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I think I figures the why you sometimes get it all conected, but not finished. If all the islands are not on the same path, then it dosen't count.
It would be nice if there was some that the lines would be different colors for each path.

This is actually a pretty cool game and contrary to other comments has a clean UI. If you have seen other Hashi games, this definitely blows them away. Well done, now I will have to attempt something above trivial level :)

Ah, further playing revealed a problem with the code. I'm guessing each puzzle is randomly generated, but the problem arises when there are two valid solutions. Since the game seems to work backward from one solution, it only marks that one correctly. I'm not sure what could be done with that, but it is a major sticking point for puzzle fans.

Needs a bit more work: sound effects, some sort of "reward" screen perhaps, and a bit cleaner interface, e.g., the arrows that extend are an odd choice to represent the connections.

I like thouses brain games, this one is based on magasins games i used to play. Need to clean interface, add better graphics and eventually noises + badges. Keep going.
