One of the few games where player skill really matters, not just max out everything and pwn. When I started playing it I couldn't even kill half of small nest. Took some 5-6 hours to get hard badge for big nest. Now I'm working on huge nest and last badge. 89/110 awards for now.

@dangitall (Spoiler) You need to have killed at least one of every gloople (other than the razor queen of course). Then it will occasionally appear at the end of any of the normal nests. (and yes there is a difference between the queen and the razor queen @Zeassasin)

I was clearing out a big nest, and I was doing great. I wasn't taking any hits, and my Reactive Armor and Hazard Suit were still intact. I was going, I got bumped and tackled by a Fuzzle. My armor breaks, and I think "That's alright, I can deal with this." And when I have only 48 glooples left, I get cornered by two Sharps and get my face ripped off by a Biter. I was PISSED. Either way, amazing game, I really like it. It's challenging, but not too difficult (To start with, anyway). The award descriptions have great humor, and it's an all-around awesome game. Five-starred and favorited, hands down.

I was showing this game to my friend when two glooples merged. As I explained what this meant, another one formed a Gray. I marveled at my good fortune when a Void Eater emerged and I was promptly killed. I had only killed 6 glooples in a small nest...

I find myself that 99% of time times I am dieing since I learned how to play is with the acid bitches. No, I can kill void eaters, horrors, queens, etc... but I am dieing by fkin acids. come on...

How to deal with a... Gloople: If you needed this comment to figure out how to deal with these then you need a psychiatrist or a few more years. Splat the dang thing. Stickie: Splat it. Avoid the goo. Biter: Splat it before it reaches you. Or lead it into stickie goo. Meltie: Splat it. Avoid the goo at all costs. Sharp: Get behind it. Wait for it to retract its spines. Then hit it. Clutter: Splat it. Then chase down the little buggers that come out. If you get some spawn on you shake the mouse wildly. Inkie: Get it before it splats all over you. Avoid the goo. Grinder: Fire and acid will make it softer. Hit it five times after that. Fuzzle: Smack it thrice before it eats your heart out. Oozle: Smack it thrice, but don't stay in front of it. Torchie: Wait for it to stop burning (stomp out those fires!). Splat it after that. Frostie: Easiest way is to get in stickie glue. This will prevent from freezing when you splat it.

@onelastwonder: While I agree that this is one of the best games I've played and that it needs a sequel, I disagree about the direction you've suggested. Adding RPG elements and other weapon types- generally a good idea in many other games- seems to detract from the ingenious simplicity that makes this game one of the best. There's no pretence at anything "deeper" to the game other than 'take sword kill stuff': the depth comes purely from the gameplay, and that's beautiful.
We've decided to grant the badges with this game a stay of execution, but they're still not awarding automatically -- you'll need to fill out a missing badge report (see the blue bar at the top of this page).

Just started playing to get an achievement or two... I guess the ingame award descriptions are worth much more. I mean, seriously, this is one of the best action games around here to me now. Challanging AND amusing, rare sight.

It would be nice if we could have like 1sec of invincibility when the suit explodes-I get sick of hitting acid, having the suit explode, and dying anyway.

@Faxmachine: Congrats on getting every fact known to man wrong. First of all, you don't need a Meltie to combine a Gloople and an Oozle and make a Gray. The hazard suit is NOT two extra lives. It gives you temporary resistance to splash effects, Clutter babies, ect. until you touch too many hazardous substances. It will NOT save you from physical attacks. If you're constantly being killed by Biters, Fuzzles, Sharps ect. get the reward that's right next to the silver lock. (Reactive Armor, it explodes and saves your life ONCE when hit by a physical attack)

If you study the behavior and patterns of the types of glooples available, here are some information I got to put together. Helpful gloople: Meltie - May go against you or against other gloople. Melties can melt grays, amalgams and common weaker enemies but cannot melt void eaters, horror and grinder. Strong Enemies: Against horror you I'd recommend you to run as far as possible. This will activate it's 3rd attack, flinging it's biter form to you. Once it's launched, run against it and swing the sword to kill it. Against void eater is simple but it requires precise timing. It's attacks are 1. Gravity: destroys hazard suit 2. Shockwave: activated when near, kills you (even with hazard) but you can survive with reactive armor. 3. Beam: Kills you even with reactive armor, cannot kill Grinder. (WARNING: Beam can even kill Razor Queen! The final boss in this game)

...I might as well post this, but I'm not sure how it happened. From circumstances completely unknown (this was hardcore mode, so there was much chaos at the time), but, it seems from some phenomenon, I placed a Fuzzle (fur on) into a passive state. It pursued me endlessly at its slower speed (the speed it moves when it is about to pounce), but never attacked. I wish I could have explored it more, but a Sharp tore it apart soon after. I want to assume some bizarre interaction with another Gloopie or a hazard pool caused this. Either way, this is just for the sake of noting its existence. Apologies that I can't say more on this.

6/5. Just came back to this game for imp badge. After years still incredibly enjoyable. Some awards are really close to impossible to get but that delivers even more fun

This game has the potential to be amazing on a smartphone >.< a guy can dream right? Been playing this for years now. Never gets boring, or any easier. Fantastic job!

A tip for the razor queen:
try using a box gun and place it in a corner, and a reactive armor, and hit her until it dies, you can hit her during the bite atack, and you will get the razor glaive, the most amazing sword, cloud would like this one XD
and if you met her go to practice and select her, and in the tip screen press right click to press back, and in the main menu press nest, after that press rigth click and forward, and press a nest and you can fight the queen again

I hate that every time i die it's from a biter, not that there hard to evade but i always get bumped by a gloople and then get bit. Fun game.

Soon as you get all(or most) of the glooples, go to practice and select ALL of them. You may then proceed to go OMFG WTF!? then die.

So who else hates how often your at the end of a nest watching your 1 or 2 remaining Glooples traverse the screen hoping for a Queen to show up and you get an Amalglam -.-

Just got the badge, "Bounty fast" and just run around avoiding, don't attack.
Then "practace" with the blues etc. until they combind.
