this game is fine but it can be really lot better. First I'd like a minimap to see were enemy are, second I'd like to know enemy stat such life, attack, armor and so on, finnaly and most important think is movement of my hero..sometimes it seems they fall in love with whater and remain idle doing nothing while my other companions die without any support. Repeat, this game has a really nice concept, maybe in a sequel implement those things?

Melee (NOT faeries/bandits/succubi) enemies can be cheesed by luring them behind bodies of water and poking them to death with ranged attacks (female characters start with one). Stick to hunts if you can, errand rewards are garbage.

The battle system for this is badly broken. 4 students walk around a field, 1 of them attacks the enemy 50% of the time. I have a student who is level 5 who has yet to hit an enemy. He just stands there every time. I keep bringing him because I'm curious how long it will go on.

there are really quite a lot of problems with this game, mostly awkwardness and the fact that students (which take ages to level up) need to be "graduated" to actually get any fame. then you don't have the characters you spent months training.

I am not even sure this game is working....
I have done around 30 errands and 30 hunts, all my "students" are lvl 1. No training to anything ever occurred. AI is buggy and gets stuck too much. As is this is stupid.

Is it just me or is Kongregate's base becoming more negative than ever? So many 1/5 on BOTDs, because they just don't feel like playing it, but they still want the points.

This game is a disgusting exercise in human trafficking!! You have to buy young children, force them to fight in the woods, and then sell them by the end of the month or else you get penalized. That's the whole game! Unbelievable.

getting stupid when your characters get stuck on the landscape while the others dying and attacking. Usually around the bodies of water.

tip: you can train a/weapon examinate student how many you times you want a week... if you have much money this can greatly increase student fame worth as fame increases with weapon exam.... I made a student take at least 3 exams a week and his worth went up 120 fame.

You know, when I graduate a student who's been with me through thick and thin, I get way too emotional about it. It would be nice for them to visit so I see how they're doing.

got tired of having to sell off my entire batch to make quota, bit too much like work. nice concept though. just got tired of the lady saying over and over watch your fame regardless if I had plenty or not, watch your explitive explitive FAME

After all the time i have enjoyed this game, i noticed something when all i had was a magicaster in a feral wolf mission, the 3x mana regeneration does not work, it regenerates at normal rate.
Otherwise i have enjoyed this game for years, and the second one too.

Came back to the game to experience Valthirian Arc again while waiting for release of the 3rd game. Went to sandbox mode and tried to accolade all achievements as fast as I can.

The secret to the game is getting one or two characters up to grade thirty, then having them solo rank 3 quests while dragging around as many rookies as you can. I personally like a magilancer or a Duellist for this, but a sorceress works best if you're using a mouse, and not a trackpad.
(Sorceress is best in case you bump into the apprentice)
ALWAYS be aware of the bonus. Search for recruits of that gender, and pick the ones that match the stats and level them as much as you can. If the recruit doesn't go into the class, just graduate without upgrading: they're worth a ton as apprentices.
Over the required fame? Start growing a tourney team, bench them at 30: there's no reason to keep running with characters that don't get better. When tourneys come, grab your 2-3 level 30s, and get your free 300 fame. ALWAYS go for the mirage casters, followed by sorceresses. They will RUIN you.

I think it'd be cool if some of the students that graduated come back as teacher who give benefits to students of their respective job class, they could give the students things such as increased stat growth and stat passive stat buffs during battle. I also think it'd be cool if some of the higher lvled students could directly pair up with lower lvl students, perhaps you could give them buffs when they're paired up with each other as well as having the higher lvl "senior" student affect the job class choices of his/her "junior".

I like to keep 1 magilancer around as a level 30 "tutor" to help new students get LP. Remember that the majority of the LP goes to the student that got the final blow, so use the magilancer to bring an enemy within inches of death, then let your newbies get the last hit

I really enjoy the idea behind the game, but there are several things that are just frustrating: constantly getting stuck in the maps, spawning with enemies all around, and not being able to form parties of just two or three when the scrub keeps getting killed. More than anything, the luck factor just keep pissing me off. I never had the class needed and on month 12, I got nothing but errand quests except for the 3rd, which was the goddamn apprentice. An entire year's worth of work shouldn't be undone by mere shoddy luck.
