YESS OMG TY @okaybmd
glean 1 has been very fun for me and i even replayed it just for the thrill, can't wait for 2 ^_^

a few minutes into the game you are asked to open the galaxy map. It gives me an error that "video cannot load" then you're stuck and unable to move. so much for this game :\

Yo dawg, I herd u liek crafting, so we made so you have to craft items so you can craft items so you can craft these other items so you can upgrade to get minerals easier so you can get the materials to make those first items.

I thought it this was one of the best games so far...but then today it lost my saved game and I'd have to start form the beginning. NO WAY! How I hate bugs like this!

I was not at all happy when I found out the hard way that you can only have 10 of each consumable. And if you make too many, it lets you do it, but silently discards the extras. If only it would disable the crafting button for a consumable when I hit the limit of 10, it wouldn't be so horrible.

Well, that was... something. At first enticed by the visuals, basic concept and gradually-unfolding story, I reached a point of staleness pretty quickly in which I felt the upgrades were too few and far between, did too little for the most part (certain ones like the Fuel upgrade did a ridiculously huge deal of good and even by just level 3 you'll never run out of fuel, whereas even fully maxed-out the Weight capacity upgrade didn't feel like what it needed to be), some upgrades felt useless (like the vibration-lowering one) and some could have been combined (like drill power and speed which from what I could tell did essentially the same thing). Later on the crafting is utterly painful and should be a one-click deal if you have all the minerals for all the tiered parts of the craft Overall though I still enjoyed it enough, after all I just spent most my day completing it..

Last comment ill be making (hopefully) You need to add an "auto construct" option so people don't have to go back and create the smaller parts for the huge parts. not that the recipe isn't a nice idea. but I would think that being in a high tech mining ship that you would be able to tell it to "Auto construct" the smaller components for the larger items.

It would be good if you could explore the red planet, and fight some kind of boss or have to find a material in less than X minutes or the planet will explode, or something. Hope to see Glean 2!

The research screen is for crafting items a first time. Afterwards, craft in the cargo bay section. Click on an advanced item that you need to craft, and at the bottom of the description, there should be a craft item button if yo have the materials. Plus up so others can see :)

After finishing the game I agree with tsundae that an auto-craft is definitely needed. I would also like to see an expandable mini-map display. The colors are a bit difficult to distinguish when it is so small. If one of the radar upgrades gave a way to see a map full screen with the items you have identified using the radar that would be great. Near the end, it was just a matter of finding enough titanium and it was hard to identify.

This game is simply amazing, the best I've played in a long while, and one of the best of all time! 5/5, no doubt!
After having played Motherload (the mother of all mining games, in my opinion) I was trying to find another mining game which can compete with it, and this game here truly can - it's even better than Motherload!
One tiny thing that should be added is a keyboard shortcut for opening the miner inventory.

heres something that helps a little if your looking for recipies from alien capsules go to glacier places that have great depth you can go deepper and more likly to find one but i think that you can only find some on certain temperatures so may not work all the time

I definitely lost all my saves as well. Tried on two different computers (copied from the laptop to the PC for better performance). Looked into the chat.kongregate.com folder in my AppData/Roaming/Macromedia/Flash Player, and the files are still there, but I still get no "Continue" option when I load the game.

Found a cute bug(/exploit)-- as soon as you're about to explode, go into item menu and use a lot of Iron to repair yourself. When you get out of the menu, your bot is still there but an explosion is overlaid on it. (Hence it being cute)

Thank You. I really enjoyed playing Glean and I look forward to hearing more about John Carbon's adventures though planets and space.

And it would be nice if we could get some specifics, both in general, and upgrades... Like a little number in the gauge, that tells us specifically how much fuel we have left, and numbers on both the upgrades and repair/refuel, telling us exactly what we are getting...

I really wish the next chapters come out soon. I have really enjoyed this game, and this is one of the very few, if not the only, which I actually finished at 100% after several days spent on.
Thank you, really.

Great game. It would be nice to have more tooltips in the game like on the on screen meters for fuel / health / hull. A "automatically make if I don't have it on purchase" would also be nice. For example: You want to purchase a Fragile Frame but you don't have the direct resources needed. You can click buy and it automatically converts the necessary resources (assuming you have them) into the direct requirements and then into the Fragile Frame. It's frustrating going back and forth several times.

As mining games go, it's average. Better than usual storyline though, I'll give it that. Crafting UI needs to be improved, badly... can hardly tell what's going on with it at any given moment.

If there is a sequel, I hope that you can upgrade the jump height or at least set it to jump higher than only 2 blocks. Otherwise, this game is great! 5/5 definitely!

awesome game mining in different planets like minecraft this should be the new beginning of the new minecraft like game "SpaceMiner"! CLick + button if you agree :)

Certainly a fun game, but I really like the mysterious story line that kinda leaves you asking, "What happened?!?!?" The ending was a little unsatisfying though. A little more clarity would have been nice for that. But still worth finishing!

how does one win this game? I've mined enough shit to make a million Paterno Statues and probably would have enough minerals left over to make some machinery to take them down...

It's a bit hard to figure out the basics of the game when you start out – a large-ish tutorial would be nice. Once you do get immersed, though, it's addictive. I love this game, 5/5

when i was playing the game yesterday i have just built all 6 modules and the time was 1am, so i had to go to bed. i saw at the instructions that the game auto-saves, so i thought i will continue. But today when i play the game there's nothing saved.
what i'm saying is that it would be very nice to have save slots or something, so that the player can play for days

Maybe allow for mouse hovering over a deposit to show a tool-tip of what type of deposit it is? Or maybe an upgrade to allow this?
